Real whispers to whoever is close enough to hear "Those are Mind Flayers, this is not your nursemaid's adventure." His eyes get big and the hold on his staff is resolute. Real helps himself and two other companions with powerful abjuration energy.
ACTION: Cast Aid on himself and King Born and Ralph (just choosing 2 somewhat randomly). The spell is cast at level 7 so we each gain 30 hp increase in our Max HP for 8 hours.
Tyrkoris will board the boat, "Unless anyone has a way to get there more quickly, we should board and get moving. Even if they aren't our enemy's allies, they are certainly enemies of ours, and I'd rather deal with them now rather than risk them coming at our backs."
Saralyssa moves towards the boat as well, her eyes on the distant shapes she can barely make out as humanoid. She grimaces when she hears what they are though and moves to the ship with the others.
Real muses on the mechanics of the boat, still keeping his voice low he says "I assume we ring this bell when we want this boat to transport us across the water. We also ring the bell when we want those things to hear us so my confidence in staying unobserved is low. Any other suggestions?" He waits for the others to get into the boat.
"Drawing them to us seems like a good idea, bring the fight to us and distract them from whatever their goal might be." Tyrkoris suggests, readying himself for battle.

The bell does not appear to be magical and you would guess it was used to summon the boat from the temple you see across the water, if the boat is not here already.
As everyone is getting into the boat, those who were able to spot the mind flayers, also spot 4 shapes detach from the ceiling and move to confront the mind flayers. These new figures are four young brass dragons.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

(GM - Does this boat use oars, or a push pole like a Venetian gondolier? I don't have water vehicle proficiency, but I assume I know how to row row row a boat gently down the stream Also, can you please put the Improved Steel Defender (ISD) in the boat in cell L85 As a medium creature he gets his own space on the map).
The boat has oars and will need to be rowed. I need you to tell me who is doing this, since it is their actions that the boat will move on then. Right now the boat is loose from the dock, one of the characters having stated they were getting the boat ready, I believe it was Ralph. So two characters can row the boat, one to either side. I will need a check from each for the boat to see how well you move it. I will also update the map to add in the Improved SD as well as to rearrange depending on who is rowing the boat.
Still need Bjorn's initiative, but I won't move to the round of combat until tomorrow anyway, so we are not waiting on that at this point yet.

Bjorn readies his crossbow. He has seen a lot in his time, but humanoids coming out of a slit in the sky isn't one of them.
Tyrkoris will board the boat, "Unless anyone has a way to get there more quickly, we should board and get moving. Even if they aren't our enemy's allies, they are certainly enemies of ours, and I'd rather deal with them now rather than risk them coming at our backs."
Real will climb into the boat as well
Lot's of stuff ...
Keeping his now drawn and ready to fire, Iorythas makes his way into the boat as well. Once inside he will keep his bow locked onto the mind flayers.
You can also see that they are Mind Flayers.

Sorry it is so big, but I had to account for the distance between you and the combat. I have you all in the boat already.
