Ola Perception: 14 Zelra Acrobatics: 13 Zelra Investigation: 10
OOC: What has been described so far is the party's view of the pool and idol from below, on the outskirts of the room. Looking more intently, Ola will have to move further into the room to make out any more detail.
Zelra nearly slips upon the stairs leading up to the room, noticing now that the five-high steps are covered in mud. As she nears the stone door, she does not find any signs of a trap. Though it is either locked or too heavy for her to push, she does notice that a partial collapse in the corridor would allow a human-sized creature to squeeze uncomfortably around the door into whatever lies beyond.
Uragum can't help but feel the something radiating from the statue. He will focus his attention and magic detection on the statue and cautiously move that direction if not within range. "I'm going to take a look at the statue, someone have my back."
Zelra lets the others know what she discovered about the door before looking around the room for the source of all the blood while the others examine the statue.
Both Arnald and Ola have similar trouble ascending the slick steps into the room, but maintain their footing as Uragum slowly walks forward alongside them. It doesn't take long for Zelra to discover the source of the smell, and the others soon see it as well.
The body of a human male is slumped over an altar at the edge of the pool. Something that appears to be a wand is on the floor near his hand. Dark blood, formerly of the body, has pooled and dried on the altar after running down its sides and front. Before it dried, the blood looks to have run into the pool of water surrounding the statue, tinging it reddish-black.
Bones litter the ground surrounding the area, a number of calcified skeletons laying in heaps on either side of the water. A second corpse lays partially submerged in the pool, his body bearing dozens of slash wounds and feathered with the broken shafts of a few arrows.
The idol itself stands six feet tall, and appears very valuable, carved out of a single piece of jade. It rests upon a stone pedestal that makes it appear to be sitting atop the surface of the water.
For Uragum:
The idol radiates faintly, registering as magic to your senses, but you are not able to detect any specific school of magic from its aura.
For Zelra:
You notice a dark oppressive energy throughout the room, so strong it almost seems visible to you.
Uragum points at the statue. "Its magic but I can't determine the type. Maybe divine related? Anyways, its one single piece of jade. Would be very expensive... more if in one piece but even if we broke it to dispell something, the chunks would still be valuable i would think."
Then as his attention shifted around he sees some of the skeletons. "Not sure but this place may have more undead." He warns.

"Considering all we saw until now, I would not be surprised even if this idol itself begins to fight as soon as you touch it. And have no doubts there are some undead around." She slowly shook her head, "before you ask, that does not come from my misleading "feelings" - simple logic dictates it to be so. These bodies and skeletons around look like a blood sacrifice - meaning, some necromancy at work here. "
She looked at the idol thoughtfully, trying to remember if she saw pictures like this somewhere (Religion 15 ): "If you plan to break it, how are you going to transport it from here? Must be incredibly heavy."
"An interesting thought - where are those, who made this sacrifice?"
Zelra looks around the room, a bit uneasy. "Oh man, I'm getting some bad juju in this room. I mean, the many dead bodies and skeletons and pool with blood water is one thing but there's a really weird air in this room... really dark."She walks up to the body on the altar, trying to identify if they're one of the Black Fist guards. As she does, she briefly looks towards the statue. "Ola, can you, I dunno, detect bad juju?"
"Not sure I know how to detect juju," seriously answered Ola, giving up of her futile attempts to remember anything about the idol, "but I did feel undead back in the corridor and have no doubts there are more of them around. Be careful with that corpse."
OOC: My apologies, I did see the post and thought I resolved it.
Flipping through the journal, you do not come across any mention of an idol, and do not recall any mention of it in the half hour you spent studying the pages. There is much more in the journal that you have not read through, however.
For Ola:
You do not recognize the idol, and are not sure what it represents.
Zelra approaches the body upon the altar. The corpse in the pool wears the uniform of the Black Fist. The body atop the altar does not, and appears to be a younger man. Neither corpse has decayed, and appear to have been dead within a few days. Suddenly, the arms of the body atop the altar flail, and the head whips around, clacking its jaw. The second corpse slowly rises, and the water begins to roil and churn as two skeletons emerge from the filthy water. The bloody water runs in black rivulets down their bones and drips from the tips of the swords in their hands as they attack.
Placement: All combatants are within movement range of one another except for Sylyra. Sylyra is down the steps, and can reach melee range of the enemies with a successful Acrobatics check.
Health: Uragum is wounded. Arnald is lightly wounded. Sylyra is lightly wounded.
"Next time we see a corpse I saw we burn them on site," Uragum grows out as he reaches into his pocket and pulls a a small diamond. Hepoints his fist at the most fleshy one and says, "Burn." He then, slowly and safely moves towards the exit.
Move: moving towards the exit as far and as safety as he can.
Sylyra calmly walks up the stairs, grabbing his staff with both hands and causing the green fire to spread upon the weapon once again. (Does he recognize the one wearing a Black Fist uniform?) He steps to the closest creature and attempts to clock it with his staff.

OOC: Botting Arnald for this round with a longbow attack.
Try to specify a target and the weapon you are attacking with in each post. In cases like this one, there aren't really any enemies that are closer than the others, per se, because they can all reach you within one round of movement. The less strategic details I need to fill in, the quicker I can get these posts in.

The corpse upon the altar never gets to its feet, as spherical flame slams into it. After launching it, Uragum returns to the exit of the room, just above the slick steps. Zelra slips her sword into the flame, and the zombie never again rises.
Ola meets a skeleton in combat, hacking off its free arm before, clashing her swords against its own, twisting it hard enough to fling it from its undead grasp, tossing it across the room. Sylyra casually scatters the remaining skeleton with a single blow, tearing it apart with a magically enhanced staff.
Arnald looses an arrow at the remaining zombie, drawing Zelra's attention its way, giving her time to defend herself from its grasp.
For Sylyra:
It is difficult to tell with the mud caked across the zombie's face, but you don't believe you recognize this former Black Fist guard.
