The voice from within the room laughs uncomfortably. "Yeah, neither did we, but here we are. We're not coming back out there to face the dead..." he trails off.
Sylyra does not recognize either of the zombie faces, other than one bearing the uniform of the Black Fist.
"I am Guard Sergeant Grim," the voice replies. There is a muffled discussion from within, including a feminine voice loudly suggesting you may be an illusion from the undead trying to draw them out. Grim's voice soon shushes the others. "So you know who I am - we are all Black Fist, stationed in the lighthouse - and you've apparently come looking for me. Now step in so we can talk where it's safe. We are not coming out until we see who we are talking to. We have nothing to gain from tricking you. We just want out of here alive," he says.
"My name is Ola do Mari, you might heard it from your fellow Black Fists. Our group was sent here to learn the fate of the island's beacon. We found it off and no one around able to explain what happened. This was the last place we were checking out. If you prefer to stay in that room - you are welcome to do so, there is no reason for us to join you in there. You can tell us what happen to the beacon and we will leave you to your hunger. Or don't tell - we will report just that, that your unit abandoned it's post to go treasure hunting, awakened undead in the dungeon and got the nobleman killed. Up to you."
Zelra taps her chin with the hilt of her shortsword before shrugging and heading to the door. She sticks her hand and shortsword through the gap and waves. "Helloo. See? We are real alive people and not illusions. Don't even think about doing anything to my arm or I will cut you. You have been warned. Anyways, its up to you if you want to come out but we do really want to know how to turn on the beacon."
"Ah, yes, you have shown me that you are visible, therefore you cannot be an illusion or a trick," Grim dryly chuckles. "How stupid do you think I am? Have it your way. We will find our own way out."
If he processed any comments about the beacon, he does not say.
Uragum rolls his eyes and in his deep Goliath voice says, "May as well leave them here. We've got what information is needed. Go report to the Captain. Let him know we found the where the missing Black Fists went and have him start drawing up the paperwork officially charging them for dereliction of duty, reckless endangerment, cowardice in the line of duty, abandoning their post, and murder of Igan Sokol. Within the day they will be in irons and likely stripped of all rank and honor and jailed for years. Not my decision but turning yourselves over likely have better results."
"We have to take Igan's body with us. The house Sokol would want him back and it might be needed for investigation as well. Perhaps someone in the Temple would be able to talk to his spirit to learn about event here. Shall we go then?"
"As much as I dislike the thought of carrying the corpse, what you say makes sense. I shall certainly carry him but would you mind assisting in binding then hands and gagging the mouth..." he responds. "It seems unlikely that he will reanimated again but I'd rather take precautions."
"Of course." Ola helped Uragum with "packing" the body and wherever it was possible (and needed) was helping to move it to the entrance ushering water away (making the path less slippery).
Zelra sighs."Dude. You can, oh I don't know, touch my arm or something? I'm a solid humanoid being. If I stabbed you with my sword, would you believe I'm not an illusion?" As she sees the rest of the party leaving, she looks at them with pleading eyes. "Wait, wait, wait. Let me just try to talk to this guy more. I need to know how to turn on the beacon."
(Does it look like Zelra would be able to move the stone door with a crowbar and a bit of help?)
While wrapping up Igan, Uragum will ask Ola, "Do you think we should leave the statue in tact? I was getting some feels from it. Maybe we have a team of clerics deal with it?"
"A very good idea," wholeheartedly agreed Ols, "we shall send some clerics this way to cleans this place. There is surely some fowl magic at place, may be some curse. Let those knowledgeable deal with it. May be Brother Keefe will look into it."
OOC: It definitely seems possible to move the door, but the passage is partially collapsed around it, so doing so could possibly cause the current opening to collapse as well.
"Right, we leave it for now and let the clerics deal with it. Wonder if we can cut a deal if they opt to destroy it that we can get some coin from the sale of the jade," Uragum responds. He takes a last look of his shoulder, shrugs and continues on with Igan's corspe with Ola's help.
Zelra sighs and takes her hand out of the opening, sheathes her swords and tries to squeeze into the room. As she does, she calls out to the group. "Just give me a second. Just a second!"
"What?! Zelra, wait!" Ola felt herself as a babysitter of a very unruly child. "There can be five people there - hungry and crazy. Gods know what they are going to do! Please, climb back! If they knew anything about beacon they would leave it working, if only not to attract any attention. Leave them be!"

"The dead are permanently dead now so just come out. By the way, are one of you Grimm or is he actually the dead guy floating in pool."

"How do you light the beacon?" Sylyra calls out, abruptly changing the subject.

Without uttering another word, Sylyra turns and walks back down the stairs, heading toward the "entrance".

OOC: Just checking before I advance us out of this place, is there anything else that anyone would like to do here?
