The arrow goes wide as George is holding him down and blocking most of the shot (keep in mind Prone means disadvantage on all attacks farther than 5ft).

(( eh - I'd argue that prone doesn't mean disadvantage in this case because we are shooting down at him from directly above - and if George is holding on to him because of the grapple wouldn't he also be restrained then? Not that it matters much as I missed anyway.))

((Technically, George only grapples him, there’s a feat to make it so he could restrain the creature. However, like you said, doesn’t matter much in this case, but good to remember for the future.))

Adanmar Windblood
The Revenant breaks through the entailing vines of Druid's spell, and then, the Mistbusters witness the new power of the Hunter. Adanmar growls, with the sharped edge of one of his arrows he carves a bloody wound on his left arm imbuing the bow with his own blood thus activating the Crimson Rite. His arrows now deal additional Radiant damage.
Adanmar jumps in the hole, closer to the Grappling George and the stammering Druid and fires two rapid arrows towards the enemy.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The first arrow lodges itself in that same wood-like material that seems to cover the skin of these druids. However, with the second, Adanmar pulls back and releases it into a crack in the druid’s bark-like skin. It sinks in deep and faintly bleaches the skin white as the man howls in pain, but he still seems conscious. Davmorn will hop down the hole and waddle over to the man, “I’d like to learn more about these grimy hethens.” He mutters as he hoists his battleaxe and brings down the flat of it onto the druid’s head. Attack: 13 for 6 non-lethal slashing damage.
And like that, the druid is unconscious and stable. His blackened staff lies at his side, slowly rolling out of his grasp. The fear effects end.
The staff is more akin to a mass of blackened, dead sticks all tied together. The wood feels spongey and unnatural to the touch. You realize that it feels familiar. It feels cold and blood-soaked.
So, we’ll say that you all have a quick short rest. Grim attunes to the staff and understands all its properties. You can spend Hit Die if you’d like. And do we still want Davmorn to cleanse the poison wine?

Adanmar has just the needed strength to break out of the vines without being restrained. He has enough time to take his turn in all this!

Grim walks over and picks up the staff. Looking to see if anything makes it unique.
