The first axe swing is stopped dead by the bark. George adds a bit more oomph to it the second time and manages to get a chip in the wood. This is... gonna take a while. After about fifteen minutes of tiring (even for George) axe swings, the trunk finally gives way and falls to the side with a crash. There is now just a bleeding stump.
