Very well. A twenty-foot-wide balcony of black marble with a shattered railing overlooks a vast temple. Black marble staircases at each end of the balcony descend thirty feet to the temple floor. The vaulted ceiling is thirty feet above the balcony. The walls and ceiling are covered in an amber glaze, lending the gloom a golden sheen. A set of amber doors stands closed at the west end of the balcony. A similar pair stands open to the east. Four black marble columns support the vaulted ceiling of the temple, at the north end of which stands a forty-foot-tall statue of a cowled figure in flowing robes. The statue’s stony hands are outstretched as if in the midst of casting a spell. Its face is a void of utter blackness. The ominous statue stands between two black marble balconies, one of which has partially collapsed and fallen on the temple’s black marble floor, in front of an open doorway. The walls of the temple are sheathed in amber, and the doors leading from it are made of amber as well. Arched hallways coated with amber lead away from the temple to the west and east. Flanking these exits are alcoves that hold white marble statues of robed human wizards with pointed hats and golden staffs. One of them has toppled over and lies shattered on the floor. However, you continue along the balcony. Heading furthest right, this room is featureless except for a rough-edged, 10-foot-diameter circular hole in the floor to the east and empty torch sconces along the walls. Double doors of amber stand open to the north and west. A single closed door lies just south of the western set of double doors. Kasimir observes the hole, “This could work. Perhaps this hole could allow us to enter the second floor without attracting the gaze of the statue.”

The shaft does seem to have various footholds. It is feasible to descend it.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Alright so, Elwarith leaps down the hole. However, he can’t quite slow himself down as he is reaching the floor. The rope prevents you from hitting the floor full speed, but you are essentially clotheslined by your own rope. You take half of the falling damage, which is 10.5, so 9 falling damage. With that being said, you now are able to look around the room. It is a small area, with only ten feet separating you from any of the walls. However, what grabs your attention are the three blocks of amber. Each seems to hold a writhing piece of darkness inside and three pale skulls sit atop these sarcophagi. It almost beckons you to touch the amber.

Elwarith will do his best to stick to the shadows, bow drawn and keep an eye on the surroundings as he follows everyone - just in case

"I have no idea why they call this place the amber temple.." Bry says as he looks around, then nods to the idea of going through the hole.

OOC: So, just for clarity, are you Mission Impossible-style jumping down the hole to reduce climbing, or are you jumping then climbing down the hole.
