MistBusters - A Curse of Strahd PbP

As the hail of needles rips through the wagon, it comes to a screeching halt as the wheels and axel explode, and the reigns are shredded.  The two horses that pulled the carriage run off into the night and leave you, the MistBusters, stranded in the dark, haze-filled forests of Barovia. The blights land to the forest floor with a thud, each slowly raising in unison before you all. 

Samudra hisses at the blights as she feels the wagon fall (( intimidation 10 initiative 3 ))

((When it's her turn she will move to one of the twig blights and attack 8 if this hits 3 damage dealt [we must never forget how much the die roller hates us]))

Adanmar jumps out from the crushing wagon groaning at the damned plants

The ranger rapidly picks from the quiver two darts and blow them to the creatures

Davmorn casts Sacred Flame. ((Dex Save, DC 15. If fail, take 8 Radiant damage.))

((Alright, those will go right after Bry, Elwarith, Samudra, and George))

Bry stands, having been thrown from the cart, a small red line of blood trickles from the corner of his mouth. He licks it with his lip, "Mmm Spicy, Come get the heat!" (Attack: Firebolt 21 for 2 fire damage)

((No clue who's turn it is but when it gets to mine.....))

Elwarith will release another shot at the blights

The next few seconds are a blur of action, the blights barely have a moment to react as they are, quite literally, torn apart.  Bry stands from the wagon wreck and releases a mote of fire which sails into the blight just behind the first and knocks its head back.  As it recovers, Elwarith's arrow sinks into its skull, once again causing a splatter of blood and pine needles across its companions.  Samudra charges the first one and it nimbly dodges, but George hucks a javelin toward it as it moves into position.  The javelin spears the creature and pins it to a nearby tree.   Davmorn is next to act as he unleashes a bolt of holy energy toward one of the blights ((7)) and carves a bleached white scar through the creature.  It still stands, but a dart from Adanmar pierces straight through the exposed roots.  The creature falls limp to the floor as Adanmar's second arrow sails past it and into the head of another blight.  It blows off a large chunk of its foliage, leaving only about half a head left.  Only two blights remain, one has half of it's skull left, the other is untouched.

((how close are they? are they within 5 feet of one of my companions?))

((I would say, the one with half its skull is))

Elwarith will shoot at that one on his turn then (if its still alive by then)

"C'mon, wheres the tree you pile of sticks." Grim yells as he aims the one that hasn't been touched.

Movement: to the untouched blight

As Grim charges the blight, he lays a strike through the blight's torso, followed by a swift kick to the chest of the creature.  The chest cavity of the creature is sent sailing into a rock where it bursts into a flurry of pine needles.  The legs of blight buckle and its waist falls before Grim.  The most injured, and only remaining blight, lets out a horrid cry as it releases needles ((18)) toward Grim, seemingly accepting its fate.  Grim dodges the needles with a tilt of his head as Samudra and Elwarith destroy the remaining blight.  Silence once again falls over the forest.  Ireena emerges from the wrecked wagon. "So... the wagon is destroyed, what now?"

Grim walks over to each of the nearby blights, dips a finger in the blood, and presses the finger into his forehead, "Continue to favor me death." He says each time. After this he turns back to Ireena, "Your a high target if that ******* tree is after you." he says, leaving the blood on his forehead.

Ireena nods grimly, "Yes... this has more or less been the past few months of my life. I leave, I am attacked by a vampire.  I stay inside, my home is attacked by the vampire's pets.  I ride a wagon, the wagon is destroyed by bloodthirsty plants.  This seems to be a common occurrence for me..."

"These arn't any bloodthirsty plants" Grims says in a low voice, "What do you know of the Gulthias tree" he asks her.
