Samudra is up next.  Come on, I believe in you!

"If there is any God up there punishing me, I have learned my lesson." And Samudra attacks the fourth swarm 21 "SWEET MOTHER OF TIAMAT" She screeches.

Action: yell profanity

As you miss the bats, you swear you hear cackling laughter over your shoulder. The swarm will retaliate against you, 17, and bite into your scalely hide for 5 piercing damage. ((I believe that that reduces you to 2 HP))

UNLESS, you use your reaction to guard against it

Samudra uses her reaction to guard against it.

Just as the bats are about to descend upon you, you call upon that same lightning quick speed that runs through your dragonborn veins and you descend into a spiral of steel and bronze. You deftly avoid the attacks.

Top of the round, Grim, you're up. There is Swarm 4 next to you, and Swarm 2 about 60 feet in the air

Grim strikes into the swarm with both his staff and his fists and manages a good number of them, dealing 7 bludgeoning damage.  Half of the swarm seems to be eliminated at this point. Ireena is going to pickup Adanmar's bow, "I'm sorry that I cost you your life... I will strive to keep it." She will then fire one of his arrows at the second bat swarm, 14, "Tell you're master that I will never be his!" However... the arrow actually sails through the swarm and off into the forest. A flock of crows scatters from the crash site. "I hate my life..."

Ireena: Action: Fire and SOMEHOW ROLL HER LIKE THIRD ONE I MEAN COME ON!

For a moment, it almost sounds like the second swarm of bats laugh as they fly off into the night.

BatS2: Movement: 30ft, Action: Dash 30ft

Davmorn is going to cast Guiding Bolt at first level again, 23, and hits the fleeing swarm for 13 radiant damage, exploding them into an array of white mist. "That's for makin' me fight me own teammates!" Davmorn will then move his giant skeletal hand over to the fourth swarm, 13, for 12+5 force damage. The hand crushes the bats, as smoky, white mist trails from inbetween the fingers, "An' that's for pullin' us into this hell hole in the first place..."

TOTAL KO! COMBAT WON!

As the heat of combat dies down, a sombering sight lies before you all.  The body of your friend and ally, Adanmar Wildblood lies before you.  Bry wakes up from his unconscious state, though he is still quite bruised and injured. Ireena sets the bow delicately back into Adanmar's hand.  Silence lies still, until she speaks up, "I'm... I'm very sorry that I caused this. I never could have dreamt that these things could've happened so quickly." She lowers her head with tears streaming down her cheeks, "Please forgive me. I should've known better. It's my fault for bringing us to this camp."

"That ******* bastard" Grim says in a dark tone, "First my village, now my friend... He's going to die, he's a ******* dead man and he doesn't even know it yet. I'll ******* rip his head right off and burn it with the tree." Grim falls to his knees while saying this, his head in his hands.

Davmorn puts his hand on Grim's shoulder, "It's ok lad, it's ok. It was his time. He did his work, he can finally rest. There was nothin' any of us could have done about it. Strahd ambushed us, caught us off guard. He's gonna pay, lad, that we can agree on." Davmorn offers his hand to Grim to pull him up. While doing so, Davmorn turns to Ireena, "Same goes for you, lass. He knew the risk, I won't have ye blame yourself."

"But still... Oh! Mr. Tiefling!" Having composed herself a little, Ireena runs over to Bry and tries to help him up, "Mr. Tiefling, are you alright, you were beaten pretty badly... I'm so sorry that that monster got into your head too..."

"Huh?" Bry turns his head to Ireena, confused as to why he feel as though he has been beaten about the head and shoulders, then pieces of memories washed over him, memories of him flinging firebolts at his people. "...oh, yes it was terrible, I couldn't...couldn't stop" he puts his arm around Ireena and leans heavily on  her to help him stand. "What happened, did I...?" he he says looking down at their fallen comrade, he then turns to face Ireena again, obvious fear in his eyes, "Tell me that wasn't me, tell me I didn't fell Adanmar"

Davmorn speaks up, "Nah, lad, wasn't you. It was those little winged hellbeasts. The lot of 'em swarmed into him, but he took out plenty before he went down..."

"Adanmar fight well.  Adanmar die well." 

Sandra looks down with a mixture of sadness and anger showing clearly in her face and says "I'm going to kill that bastard Strahd and hand him to the pit fiends. Adanmar didn't deserve to be killed by a bunch of servants. At least he could have died doing a great feat.... but no, Strahd took him by a bat's claw." Samudra transforms into a black wolf, howling into the night.

"Adanmar beat George.  George no know how George know, but George know." 

Bry shook his head, "I just met him, and I hate him, Ireena..." Bry takes hold of Ireena by the shoulders, "Trust me when I say, we will kill him, he will not have you"

She nods, "Thank you... I know you will." Davmorn speaks up, "Should do as I did with the priest's child, put his soul to rest? Or are we going to bury him? Either way, we need rest, we won't survive another ambush..."
