“You sail on the empress right? Would you have a way for us to get on the boat unnoticed so that we might confiscate the medicines? I have a feeling if food and medicines are about to be sent off to the front lines soon. We are going to see a bunch of these on there also.” I show Magnus the can I found at the slaughterhouse. “Near as I could tell they’re made opposite the city.”
Magnus gives an appreciative whistle: "Canned provisions. Would be a hell of a score if we got our hands on those. With an entire ship's worth, we might be able to feed the entire resistance for a year. Even if you only get a fraction of it, that'd be great!
And yeah, I was on her, but only a few years back, unfortunately. Not sure what they did with her since, but back then, there was a gap large enough for a dwarf to crawl through on the starboard side of the forecastle, for the anchor and chain. Behind there is a winch for the anchor chain. I think it's right before the cargo hold, but I'm not entirely sure anymore."
He thinks a bit more, before smiling slyly. "There might be a way you could know for sure... Either before arriving, or now as she's being loaded with the provisions for the front, any major changes would have been made a note of in the captain's logs, stored with the responsible trading company. Back in my day it was the Jahaco company, but the harbourmaster should have a registry for the correct one now. The company should have a log of all necessary changes, or a record of any ship builders they hired. You might even find some ship's plans that way."

Magnus overhears you. "There's a passage through there, at the far end of the cave. If you follow it, you'll get out in one of the patriar crypts in Tumbledown cemetery."

“Not in Tumbledown. At least, not that I recall at the moment. Not sure how safe our meeting spots are now with people coming up missing. I live outside the city though... so if you don’t you wouldn’t need worry about curfew.”
”Where is your shop? Is it in tumbledown? Or are we going to have to get unto the city after nightfall? That might be a bit tricky since they typically close the gates and don’t let anyone in.”
“Then it seems you are the one in need of a place to stay” I give him a long hard look, “I haven’t any reason not to trust you yet. Come on I know a place we can spend the night. Though we’ll need to go round the hill. Hopeful we don’t encounter anything on the way.”
With this long and frankly weird day coming to an end, you both make your way to the Fastfoot farm. Bedding down in the hall, you both find rest, as the night and with it sleep take you.
You wake far too early, as a cokerel greets the dawning sun- the drawback of living on a farm, you tell yourself. Your heads are still spinning somewhat from yesterday's revelations, but you both know that you have a full day of research ahead of you.
What would you like to do and where would you like to start?

I get up fairly energetically, enjoying slightly the sounds of the farm since it’s been a few day’s since I’ve woken up as such and set about making breakfast for myself and Parker. Should any of the family inquire about the house guest I’ll introduce him simply as ‘Parker’ and leave it at that.
Once we are alone I’ll say quietly to him, “I’ll be going down to the harbourmaster today to look into both the recent impersonation of a patriarch and seeing what I can discover about the empress.” I then take a moment to chew my mouthful of food. “Whatel u b doing?” I say before I’m finished chewing
It’s then that I realize I didn’t make any and get up to go make some. Returning with a mug “milk or sugar?” As I set the mug down. If either is asked for, I get it and return to sit at the table.
“I have business with the harbourmaster as I said. I wasn’t sure if you had anything you had planned on doing today. Wouldn’t mind a shadow today just to be safe ... but same time don’t want to give the wrong idea since I’m part of this mercenary group now.” Each sentence is said between mouthfuls of eggs and sausage and sips of orange juice. “Would you be able to make convincing enough papers to get us on the empress if I can’t figure a way to sneak on it?”
“Sounds like a good back up plan to me then.” Finished with breakfast I stand and collect the dishes and bring them to the washing bin(basin?) “I’m headed off then. Feel free to shadow if you would like or make those papers first if you would rather.” With that said I begin making my way towards the harbour district to meet with the harbourmaster. I stop by the stubborn mule and leave a message for Magnus using thieves cant. Giving him a brief idea what we are planning so he can prepare accordingly.
