“Figures” I mutter to myself finding a locked door in the interior of the slaughterhouse. I look around for some sort of light source and after a few minutes of searching the room I’m in, quietly rummaging around in the dark I find a small tallow candle with some matches next to it.
After breaking the first one and pocketing it to leave as little evidence as possible, I manage to light the candle with a second match. Which I quickly put out and pocket as well. ‘Hopefully no one notices the candle is lower than it was when they left nor that some matches are missing’. Looking around the room for anything I may have missed earlier in the room with out a light source.
There is a bloody apron hanging off a hook on the wall, and the floor is still stained with some blood. Otherwise the room is spare, with the items you already noticed in the dark.

With candle in hand, I’ll make my way over to the double door to see if I can get a sense of where it leads to. Before moving over to the single door to attempt to pick the lock. Hoping this one is as easy as the last one.

The big double doors aren't locked, and quickly opening them you find yourself looking out onto an open yard or something, off to the left of the main street, where the animals are likely herded into, before being taken to the slaughter chamber one by one. The ground is covered in saw dust, but even though the smell of thousands of animals prevails.
Turning to the small door, you set down your tallow candle and get to work on the lock. A little bit of dust tickles your nose, and you sneeze, loudly, jerking the pick and leaving a scratch on the brass plate outside of the lock. Cursing under your breath, you focus, and in a matter of seconds, you pick the lock. The door swings silently open, and despite your previous sneeze, all you can hear in the building is the wind. Behind the small door, you find a stair case leading to an upper floor.

Ascending the staircase, I gingerly test each step to make sure it doesn’t creak before putting more weight on it. Keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary.
Very slowly, you advance up the stairs, making almost no sound as you do so. There's nothing particular about the staircase, though standing in it, you see that there's also steps leading to a cellar below. The craftsmanship is mediocre, and some of the steps have blood soaked into them. Reaching the floor above, you find a long corridor with two doors on the left hand side, and the right hand wall with a window. One of the doors is labelled "Storage" the other "Mr Creed".
Moving along the corridor, you decide to blow out the candle, for fear it might give you away. Then, looking out of the window, you look onto the same yarded area you saw through the double doors below. From up here however you do notice a chimney rising from the far corner of the yard you missed before. Satisfied that no one is looking in on you, you turn towards the storage room and try the handle. The door swings open, and you decide to step inside and relight your candle, confident that the door behind you will block the light. The room is quite large, but crammed full with dusty chairs, several large chests and trunks, and a mop and bucket in one of the corners. Judging by the spiderwebs, none of the items here have been used recently.

Not seeing anything of immediate importance in this room, I make a mental note to come back and inspect the chests and trunks on my way back out. I’ll exit shielding the candles light from being seen through the window to make my way down the hall toward the second doorway. Listening carefully to see what, if anything is on the other side, before trying to open the door.
The door with the name on is locked, you assume that the manager's office lies behind. Placing the candle on the ground, you carefully, and perhaps a bit slowly, pick the lock.
Entering the office, you see a filing cabinet to the right of the door, a writing desk up against the far wall with a deep cushioned seat behind it. The room is rather small and spartan in its furbishings.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I’ll search both the desk and the filing cabinet looking for any sort of stationary or a type of paper that they use here at the slaughterhouse. Hoping that it will help with our ruse of saying something is wrong with the meat. I’ll also keep my eyes peeled for any type of seal or stamp.
You find a whole stack of paper in the bottom drawer, all with the company letterhead on, and make sure to take three with you. You also make sure to take a note of the brand of ink this Mr Creed likes to use. In your search, you also come across some letters in the second drawer. In the top drawer, you find a seal with a modified version of the company logo. Going through the filing cabinet, you find a company ledger, with some peculiar notes in- as a farmer, you never heard of anyone mincing their venison.

I’ll take the time to read threw the letters. (Shouldn’t take more than a couple minutes right?) I’ll inspect the documents I’ve found to see if the company seal is used on any of them. If I notice a particular place the seal is located, I’ll mark the three pages I’ve collected with the seal. Then I’ll grab a fourth sheet of paper and transfer over the ledger as quickly as I can.
The seals are usually located in the bottom right corner, and you quickly make three copies to work from, before folding and stowing them carefully.
The first letter says:
Mr Creed
Thank you for your excellent services, the pay will come on the first of the month as promised. There has been a lot of activity, so we expect to send some more venison your way soon. It should be easy enough to hide among all the beef that you're going to be processing soon. I have ordered two of my Flames to liaison with you so we might be able to extend the working hours for as much as possible to ensure that the necessary beef is minced and canned as soon as possible. As promised in the last letter, every day sooner that you can make a delivery will be recompensed with 10 denari extra.
Respectfully,
Blaze Malinkov
The second letter is a response draft, not yet sent:
Honourable Blaze
I thank you for your continued business. Thanks to the Rock we'll never have to worry about the venison contract, but the beef was a true boost for my business, and I'm very grateful to be considered part of the strategic infrastructure. I'm wondering whether in recognition of that fact, you might be able to recommend our business to the Imperial Army Provisions Office to make the status more permanent.
Kind regards,
Mr Thaddeus Creed
After reading through the two letters, you quickly copy the ledger page, before closing the drawers and returning the ledger.
Is there anything else you'd like to do here?

You quickly get to the fishing piers in Rivington, and manage to find a boat that is unattended. In that, you row up the river to the harbour. It takes you about an hour to get there, but at two in the morning you quickly manage to slip into an ungaurded pier near some warehouses in the Harbourside district. Tieing up the boat, you make your way on land. With an hour to spare, you head over to the warehouse you will have to guard in an hour. Seeing you approach, Joe greets you. "Nothing much to report, sir."
You inform him that you'll be arriving soon, just have to run a final errand. WIth that, you head off to Parker's notary to hand off the paper, the letters, and discuss the ledger you found. Knocking on the door, you can hear that you woke him, but after a few minutes, he opens the door in his nightshirt with a small candle.

After walking inside the notary. “Parker, I found some paper that the slaughterhouse uses and stamped three of them with the seal they use so hopefully whatever you draft up looks official.” I lay on the table the three blank sheets of paper, well blanks except for the seal. “This fourth one here is a ledger I found in the office of a ‘Mr. Creed’.
