Yoric -- you, Nevlav, Thalion, and Chief Brightaxe are probably watching this from the navigation chamber of the Folna. You see most of the landing pad, the Goliath, and now Alden, who has approached the Goliath. Grin, who is still on the gangplank and techincally below you, isn't visible yet. You aren't able to hear what's going on, though. Doctor Aleksei disappeared from the chamber after Alden told him to hide.
Alden, with a perception of 15, you notice the following things. Besides the Goliath, there are three other members of the watch on the roof, though there are likely more in the prison below. Two of the guards have crossbows that they have drawn, but aren't trained on you yet. Stairclimber has a flail on his hip that he hasn't made a move for yet. You can't really tell if the third guard is armed or not.
There is one door behind the group of city watch that leads to the prison below. The only other way out is off the roof. The Valance Gaol is one of the older buildings in the city, so its not a skyscraper, but its easily a 25 foot drop.
(Alden -- not much is known about Reynauld Capet, the Commissioner of Public Safety, but Doctor Aleksei told you that he believed that Reynauld Capet was the tiefling you met at the start of the adventure -- the head of the secret police force. Whether or not you believe him is up to Alden.)
Yoric, as you ask Brightaxe about escape options, the dwarf scratches his head. "I could open the back 'atch, I could. It opens out over the back of the prison -- you lot probably could jump for it. You'd be free and clear, if you survived the fall. We 'ave some chutes, but only one of you could use 'em afore you all get tangled. Maybe two if yourself and the miss share a chute. It might be best if you stayed 'ere, sir? You ain't done naught wrong, yeah?" He is still very friendly, but you definitely see notes of doubting creeping into his head.
Grin is staying eerily still and silent, as she did on the day they all met. It would take effort to tell she is breathing. She is ready with her magic if things go awry.
Yoric, you find Aleksei in the boiler room -- it appears as though he has been feeding some things to the flames that power this airship. "I don't know what's going on out there, but I would say that whether or not I heal the king, I'm likely to be seeing your Tiefling friend soon."
He hands over a large bound volume to you, Yoric. "These are....my father's notes on the hags. This is the only proof left of King Brocc's deal. Keep it safe, and, if you are able, kill all three of those miserable witches. Its the only way Languedoc will find some semblence of balance. Otherwise, I see nothing but darkness." He pats you on the shoulder. "I've been waiting fifteen years for someone to catch me. Let's get see what the fuss is about."
Outside the airship, Stairclimber simply laughs at Alden, and you can almost feel his smirk behind the plague mask he's wearing. "Don't tell me YOU'RE seeing conspiracies everywhere, Lostchild? Maybe you're starting to develop some symptoms, eh? You know damn well that if I were exposed you'd be dropping me in quarantine without a second thought. I'm doing my job, inspector. Screwing with you is simply an added bonus. The four of you will be well cared for in the hospital ward downstairs. We'd never let you mix with the criminals we're keeping down there."
He checks his notes. "There is one of you....a Sir Nevlav Inimeg? His mother, Lady Euphemia Inimeg has made special arrangements for his quarantine. We're to transport him to her estate seperately." He whistles. "I heard of her! She was some big muckity-muck during the war. You're moving in some exalted circles, I'll give you that Lostchild. I wonder if your liaison position will need filling while you're in quarantine.

Alden
Alden shakes his head. "Yep, I should have known this is how it would turn out." He thinks to himself.
"I am going to pay for this" he decides.
Alden will turn around and look at Grin to catch her attention. He will shake his head No, turn back around and punch that smug Goliath right in his stoney balls, half expecting the Goliath to anticipate this action.
Hit: 6
Damage: 2
(Hoka Hey!)-Let's roll today is a good day to die)
(Hoo boy -- Grin, Alden roll initative. Thalion and Nevlav, if you are still watching from the navigation chamber, roll initiative. You could reach the gangplank and ranged combat range this round, but if you're going into melee you will need to Dash this round or use your movement this round and next round. Yoric, as you are below decks, you probably don't know what's going on, yet.)
Yoric wrings his hands at the Doctor. “You ninny! Come with me, we’re not going to just turn you over to these killers! And you know that’s what they’ll do, because they’ve done it to lots of people for less. Now I think I have a way off this boat, are you coming?”

(Boting Nevlav for now, pending hearing from @Whitehart79)
Nevlav Initative: 14
(Alden, no sneak attack this round as you don't have anyone flanking you, still hits though)
As Alden first sucker punch goes for Stairclimber's nether regions, the Goliath sidesteps, and barks at the watch. "Gods --he MUST be infected. Put him down before he escapes."
Then in a quick, fluid motion Alden draws his shortsword and swings the flat edge, striking the big Goliath in the jaw, and cracking his plague mask. He staggers back, trying to hold the massk together. Then roaring with rage, he draws his flail and swings it downward, trying to bring the little spiked ball down upon your head.
Attack: 10 Damage: 7
Alden, you see stars for a moment as the flail makes contact with your forehead, drawing blood.
Grin, you then get your spell off and for a moment, the Goliath looks confused, then
WIS Saving Throw 5
He shakes off whatever fog was rolling around in his mind "Don't kill them! Keep them alive for now." Pointing at Alden, he adds "You, my friend, have made a big mistake. What would old Inspector Nailo say about this? It'll break the old man's heart. I can't wait to tell him."
(We have Nevlav's place in the order; he can hop in next round if he's still playing -- I don't want to speak for @Whitehart79, but I'm not sure Nevlav would be on your side in this fight.)
In the boiler room of the ship, Aleksei, who you now know is Artur Felix, son of Count Felix, wrings his hands. "Fine. If you have a way off this roof without getting us all shot down, or killed, I'm interested -- what do you need me to do?"
He packs up his rucksack and gives you an appreciative nod, Yoric, ready to follow your lead.
"On the Dole, it's a tavern run by a Kobold, he owes me a favor. Stay away from the pit fighting if you can, or at least don't get any rep. Sneak out the back hatch. There's a chute if you need it, but I don't recommend drawing that sort of attention if you can help it."
Yoric is talking and leaving, heading back to the ramp getting off the ship towards Alden and Grin. If he can on the way, he's collecting Nevlav and Thalion if they aren't already headed that way.

Yoric goes looking for the doctor. Fast.

"So" Alden begins "The Teifling promised you glory. And did he mention the assassins he sent for this simple inspection?" he asks.
Alden pauses then asks.
"How long have been on his payroll Stairclimber?"
Grin is staying eerily still and silent, as she did on the day they all met. It would take effort to tell she is breathing. She is ready with her magic if things go awry.
Thalion bristles at the notion of fleeing, staunchly shaking his head and saying, "We aren't leaving without Alden and Grinhilla."
Far from trying to put Brightaxe at ease he grabs his longbow in one hand and an arrow in the other and readies himself for potential combat.
Yoric, you find Aleksei in the boiler room -- it appears as though he has been feeding some things to the flames that power this airship. "I don't know what's going on out there, but I would say that whether or not I heal the king, I'm likely to be seeing your Tiefling friend soon."
