Diomedes leans in close to the bound man.
Listen well sir. Despite appearances, my friends here can be convinced to be gentle. You may be new to this gang but I'm guessing you're not new to this game. You're a man that has had to survive and that means you pay attention to what's around you. I think it would be in your best interests to tell us as much as you can

Where is the safe house?
What is the password/handshake/unintelligible thief word to get in?
The name of the one that got away and where they are likely to go?
Who's your boss?
Why do the Copper Fangs think they'll survive the attempt to muscle in on the other gangs? What demon have they consorted with? How deep does this go?!?
Look man there ain’t no secret to it. There’s a guard at the safe house who we are introduced to, he has a thing for faces, his names Bert. Bert lets you in and you get given the job and your cut, the bosses appear every now and then and promote people but as I said I only been running with this crew for a week. Saffire is the lass who legged it. I reckon she’s probably heading somewhere to get that crossbow bolt removed, there’s no healers at the gangs headquarters so she won’t be going there. I dunno nothing more than that
Eoni nudges the body with her foot, tutting, What a shame... She then slowly transforms into the dead bandit lying at her feet, Let’s go find this Bert perhaps?
You let Hutrer know you’re following a lead and depart from Holdfast Ward descending through the districts until you emerge in Stoneyard District in Lower Northedge. This residential district is home to the majority of Sharn’s shifters, including both recent immigrants from the Eldeen Reaches and long-established local families. The district includes a makeshift hrazhak court and a shrine devoted to the Wardens of the Wood. Conditions are poor to modest.
Although it’s poverty-stricken, Lower Northedge is a significant step up from the slums of Lower Dura. The people of Lower Northedge don’t look for trouble, and they don’t like it coming to their doorstep. North Market is one of the largest markets in Sharn, though in contrast to the Bazaar of Dura it mostly offers simple, everyday goods.
Lower Northedge has a significant shifter population. The Rat’s Nest is a tavern that caters to shifters, and the Bear’s Rest is an inn run by a family of shifters. Tooth & Nail is an apothecary specializing in the care of fangs and claws. Particularly in the districts of North Market and Stoneyard, shifter children play hrazhak in the streets; this flamboyant sport involves making dramatic leaps and scaling walls.
The Shrine of Fathen the Martyr is an infamous spot in North Market. It is dedicated to a crusading priest of the Silver Flame who uncovered a group of wererats in the early days of Sharn. Fathen was torn apart by the wererats he had exposed, and in his honor the Church of the Silver Flame raised the shrine on this site. It’s said that any lycanthrope that enters the shrine will be forced into its true form. Pilgrims devoted to the Silver Flame come from across Khorvaire to pray at the shrine, but the local shifter population has no love for the pilgrims or the church.

You walk down a mostly deserted street, fairly clean but still on the run down side. You check the address against what the gangster told you and confirm that you are at the right building. From the outside it appears unoccupied but you notice that the front door is oddly well maintained with sturdy hinges and locks.
Diomedes clangs and bashes around creating quite the clamour. You are uncertain whether it was his noise or Eonis knocking on the door that causes the slider on it to open, revealing a beady yellow tinged eye. Eh! Whaddya want? Can’t you tell Berts trying time get some sleep?
There’s a slight pause as the eye focuses on Eoni. Oh new boy. Whatcha doing back so soon? Wheres Peony and the others?
Leowin, around the corner, uses disguise self to take on the appearance of another of the dead bandits. Grimacing, he takes out his dagger and makes a small cut on his left shoulder. Blood seeps between his fingers as he walks around the corner. As he approaches, he pushes past Eoni and shoves the door.
Oi, let us back in. We got cut to pieces. Everyone else is dead. I need a ******* drink.

I am Bert yer numpty! Must have taken a bang t'the head! Alright if theres been an ambush ye'd best get in and let the bosses know. There's a scraping as locks and bars are opened, then the door swings inwards and a ratty looking man stands there squinting at you.

Eoni’s teeth suddenly grow in length and she snarls at the man.

Eoni tilts her head to the side, trying to figure out if he’s lying or not.

You get the impression he’s telling the truth. He seems willing to sell out anyone to save his own skin
Rollo raises his crossbow level with the gangsters head, and mutters the beginning of a blood curse, causing his eyes to glow..
if we see you again, il kill you. Understood?

He nods vigorously. You cut me loose and you won’t see me again
Leowin leans in casually from behind, dagger in hand, and cuts the gangster's throat in one swift movement.
No loose ends. I don't like them. and I don't much like people who shake down honest merchants either. Shall we take a look at this safe house?
The bandit bleeds out in seconds and his body slumps over held up only by the ropes that bind him to the chair
Eoni nudges the body with her foot, tutting, What a shame... She then slowly transforms into the dead bandit lying at her feet, Let’s go find this Bert perhaps?

Diomedes hides out of sight of the door, but nearby and within earshot.

I need to speak with Bert! I have a message I need to convey to him! Its regarding that skinny little midget! Eoni says, pretending to sound panicked.
