Falzaren glances up briefly, "Are we sure we're not supposed to be up there?"

Nadariel shrugs: " There is a lot of work involved to build a bridge like that. Anyway, we are down here and not up there, so lets move forward."

"He does bring up a good point. Did we-" Belmarm looks to the ground confused. "Weren't we on the road be--Hm... That is unfortunate, for I think we might've missed a step or too. Ah... hmm... I suppose if we must forge are way across the hard way." He comments on.

(To DM: Did the road we were originally on that was meant to lead to Vallaki lead here, or was there some miscommunication there on the path we were taking?)

Ismark looks up at the bridge for a few seconds before he waves it off and moves to continue on the path ahead of them.

(Okay, good to hear.)

"I do wonder where that leads though." Belmarm comments on before following along with his own shrug. "Let's not tarry. Every second we are away from our destination is another for this lands 'devil' or those corrupted by him to find us."

"Wherever it goes it doesn't concern us," Tierra says.

"According to the map it leads to the Castle Ravenloft. That is the last place we want go." Ismark says as he looks upward himself.

Errol:

"Then let us keep moving," says Errol, "for if the master of the castle is the source of the attempts on your sister's life, we would do well to travel in the other direction."

“Onward, but not upward,” Falzaren smiles to himself at his little joke.

Ismark nods as he starts to lead the way once more.

As the party continue onwards they come across a flock of 2 Ravens that are picking clean the body of a dead animal.

Belmarm hardly appears all that concerned with the flock, frankly preferring to pas them and leave them to their meal. But then he has a thought, and with an amused smile he looks to Tierra and asks, "Say my animal loving friend. I do not suppose you have the means to commune with these ones, and perhaps ask them if they've noticed anything strange or lurking on the paths ahead today?"

Nadariel gets closer to Ismark and his sister and keeps his spear ready incase the birds get closer. (Polearm master reaction attack if they come within 5 feet. 

The Ravens continue with their pecking, not seeming to give the party much attention. If any pay a bit of attention it looks as though the corpse is that of a deer or a similar animal.

Tierra steps foreward, "Hail friend," she says to them, "how long have you been in this part of the forest?"

One of the Ravens look at her, tilting its head and hopping forward. "We come for the food... Flew over and saw humans lose their prey...." 

"Lost their prey?" Tierra asks, "where did they go? Did something attack them?"

"Bad at tracking. Lost sight of prey." The crow says as it hops about more.

"I see," Tierra says, "have you seen anything strange on this road or in the area?"

"No not many travel this road other then the colorful ones in their wagons..."

"Where did the people go who lost the kill?"
