If the entire party goes to th source of the tavern they notice that most of the houses are in disrepair with the windows being boarded up if not complete broken out. It is hard to tell if any of them are lived in or not. Fh source of the sobbing comes from the western side of town. At an intersection with a road that leads to what looks like a church to the north Two buildings that show signs of life are on either side of the intersection. The sobs seem to be coming from the path that leads away from the church next to one of the buildings showing the harder hints of life.
If any of you want to explore the houses let me know and we can settle that before we continue on with where you go at the intersection.
At the intersection you will see a building called the Blood of the Vine Tavern and another called Bildrath's Mercantile.
A single shaft of light thrusts illumination into the main square, its brightness looking like a solid pillar in the heavy fog. Above the gaping doorway, a sign hangs precariously askew, proclaiming this to be the Blood on the Vine tavern.

As you go next to the store you find that the house next to it seems to be the source of the sobbing.
A moaning sob floats through the still, gray streets, coloring your thoughts with sadness. The sounds flow from a dark, two-story townhouse.
(To Darth: Now that we're by the building, do we recognize the source of the sobbing? As in, does it sound like from an adult? Old person? Child? Strange creature? Etc?)
"Who names their place of buisness 'Blood on the Vine'?" Belmarm thought aloud while standing beside Errol at this point.

The sobbing sounds as if it is coming from an adult woman that is upstairs. The house on the inside looks as if it was made to be barricaded from the inside but the door is left unlocked so anyone can go inside.
Priest just follows his companions as a prayer continues to leave his lips. As they get to the house he just looks it over and then looks around the town "This has me very concerned." he says waiting for his companion to be given permission to enter.
"Hm. You make good point, my friend. I will definitely have to keep this in my book. Speaking of which, shall we follow?" Belmarm said, gesturing over to Tierra's more brazen act. Not that he minded. For with or without Errol's agreeing, the shadar isn't far behind, if only out of curiosity.

The crying comes from upstairs, the floor creaking as someone rocks back and fourth on old floorboards. If anyone goes upstairs they will see a woman in ragged clothing. She is clutching an old doll that looks to be malformed with age.
Belmarm carries on after Tierra, sometimes taking the stairs two at a time in his enthusiasm. "Now what. Is. This. Hm?" Belmarm asked upon sighting the woman, and strode to at least ten to fifteen feet of her before stopping of his own accord. "Good day, madam. Sorry for the intrusions. We just heard your sobs, and well, couldn't help but come see why." He confesses. "Did you know your voice carries quite well as well? Truly impressive."

Still good to follow sobbing so far.
Belmarm is the same, though he makes note of any buildings that appear to be shops or taverns along the way; and thus, worth returning to afterwards.

Tierra looks at the house. "Is that was houses are used for? To cry in?"

“A dark and twisted reference to wine, or so I have heard it said,” replies Errol to Belmarm, “somehow fitting for this gods-forsaken place.”
