The bouts wouldn't take place here. Especially with the drinks we serve . My thoughts are that if I win enough that's gold for myself and the manor . I haven't done percentages yet . That will depend on many circumstances . The more I win it might bring us more business. The only thing I see being bad is every now and then I might get a drunkard that knows my face and wants to " prove" himself in the establishment . So far the good outweighs the bad . I've got to have a substantial amount of wins to get the clientele though.
"I may be able to find you a match if you are serious. Keep in mind, these are underground most of the time because of city laws so the rules can become.... hazy... At this point in time, the coffers have the equivalent of 90 dragons. Because of the type of establishment we run, I recommend middle and high class. For now, go with middle class since that can be funded. We are looking for patrons, suppliers, and anything else that can get our 2 businesses paid.
That may prove to be an interesting touch Raven, which section do you plan to display them? or would you rather use a window garden box?"
Herald will lean his chair at a shallow angle to prevent the legs from slipping out from under him and place his feet on another chair away from the table.
"I have no plans to fight your games, and betting is too risky for me right now.. I will try to connect you with someone if you willing to put some of the proceeds into one of the two coffers... ..Oh, and winners may even get backers... or endorsement from the observer. who knows, it could be a patron of sorts..."
* hands Herald 9 gold * that's what was left over from getting Fin and Quin some clothes. I'm not going to do any underground fights . I've heard a bad tale or two from some of those in Baulder's Gate . I'm going to try for the gentleman's sport of boxing in the legal means, where it is sanctioned by law and there are rules. I have no idea how big the pots will be or the matchmaking odds . I don't expect to win them all. Let's say I win 1,000 gold dragons for arguements sake . I'd get 50% , the other 50% distributed between the manor, anyone promoting, conditioning, and so on . It's not something I intend to make a career out of but I think for us and this place it would be a good start. As far as the upper class goes, I might be able to get a possible start * undoes the scroll case and sets the scroll on the table for all to read *
I'll emphasize that I have no intention of any lethal combat . Now the only thing is as far as my pedigree goes is that I'm not from here so I really don't know many people but that scroll is a start. * rolls the scroll up after he has deemed it long enough time for it to have been seen / read and puts it back in his scroll case *
"It sounds like a good idea, Sir. Get yourself some practice, keep you in tip-top shape and earn some extra money on the side. I admit that I am glad you do not intend to break any laws in the process."
"But as far as what I intend to do with these" *she nods her head towards the vases that were set by the doorway* They are gifts, for you two *she smiles brightly and waves to the two freehands (if they are in the room). I want you to know you are very welcome here, and these should help you feel at home. Once they start to grow well, we'll work together to transplant them to new and wider pots and set them in your rooms or in your favorite spot that you like to sit."
Ooc - post #2 has all the maps. An updated map for the manor will be uploaded later today showing some of the construction changes. Most of the construction changes are on the 1st floor and a bit on the 2nd floor. Snarf has moved out of his room on the top floor, too bright during the day. Below is a link to an unmodified map to see what some of the unlisted areas are:
There is also a spoiler tag above it that describes each room. Or at least the state of it when they moved in, some descriptions have been updated a little.
BTW, if it is sought everyone present has full DM support if the party members that are present wish to vote for reassigning rooms for any missing members.

Though I would wait to reorganize till later, Herald told me that he headed out for the night. For the time being, the number of available bed is in the description.

Food for thought down the line, tomorrow afternoon after guard duty, may or may not want to reorganize the sleeping arrangements. The absent members may or may not still be sleeping here (Darvin can still sleep at his family's house for instance, which is why Raven is currently sleeping there)
But after reorganizing tomorrow they may, or may not, all bunk together for simplicity's sake. No real need to lock away a third of the Manor if those present see a use for it.
Mr Russell says: "For tonight they can bunk in Snarf's old room, there are still some blankets up there among other things. Let's have a meeting about this topic tomorrow when all the Active Partners can attend."
Ooc- also known as, let's not stop and talk about it now when we have a plan to discuss it later. Think about your ideas and suggestions now and present them to each other later.
I'll take Gajimi's ( I may have misspelled that ) old room. It should do. Quinn and Fin, I myself don't mind if you stay here, wether it is temporary or long term but I suggest if you want temporary then at least stay here long enough to get some coin for your own place . I hope the others don't mind that idea .
OOC: at work atm and on limited time, apologies for my sporadic reading

And Arthur is right about the upper class Carousing, Ashland can't do it without a bit of work as she isn't a noble.

Mr Russell:
"Sending out Miss Ashglade out to find middle class contacts. We'll send her out to start tomorrow with funding of 50gp from the Franchise funds"
Sounds great Mr Russell

"Thank you, Miss Raven. I'm sure they'll turn out lovely" says Finedelye.
Quinn has a slightly confused look on his face as he asks "Are we to live here? I only know about working"
OOC: exactly how much room is there here? I'm sure that Quinn and Fin will need a place to stay until they find homes of their own

Does anyone have anything they need to cover before ending the day?
Need to come up with a way for y'all to end the day without waiting for a prompt. Or a more natural way to do it.
Ooc: I'm good. As mr Russell stated , discussion at a later time .
I updated Post #2 with an updated Trollskull map during lunch today.
Ooc: 1 thing I want to do before going to sleep is spend time with the purple shard
Yep, just waiting to see if Raven needs to do anything before closing out the night.
