Ooc- I recommend heading out on the job this morning and let all the discussion and RP to happen while standing guard for the Dungsweepers Guild.
This is our last "mission" milestone before we level up to third. It has 5 days left on the contract. If we can role-play during a day for each game day that nothing hits the fan we can hit quite a few milestones next week(business checks for the tavern and the franchise, trolltide, beginning of a new month, character levels, etc)
And the characters have a lot of work to fill in the new hire. Especially since so many others are off doing whatever they are doing.
I wait on Harold, Grider, & the rest I've not met to wake up and arrive b4 I get breakfast . I'll order a mug of ale and nurse it whilst I wait . Ooc : that's what , 2 silver?
I'll also let you all remind our missing players about the game moving along. I've been pestering them off and on for 3 weeks, I'm just gonna focus on running the game for those that post here.
We're running at your pace outside of Initiative. We will stay at, or move on, at any point of your choosing. I'll toss in or interject here and there with some NPCs as needed.
Ooc: alright and sorry about the cloud / grider mixup. I figure on the way back to trollskull we'd have at least had proper introductions with each other. In character: I pay the silver, tip a silver and nurse the ale
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mr. Russel comes in and has a morning ale with Arthur.
"I guess someone should fill you in on this place, if nobody has done so already. We're a brand new franchise of Acquisitions Incorporated, that's why you see all this construction going on around here. I believe Lord Darvin, Gajimi, and Herald acquired this place just before I showed up. They know more about that part of the story than I."
"Acquisitions Incorporated is an enterprise that seeks to turn adventuring into a business enterprise. We work with all the factions to get things done, hopefully with a positive profit outcome. In fact several of our members have recently joined the Grey Hands and the Emerald Enclave. We each have our own duties that we also fill within the franchise, for instance I fill the role of Loremonger for the outfit. As Loremonger I record the names, dates, and other vital information to help the franchise prosper. I'm sure the others can describe their titles as well."
"But my main job here is the Majordomo for the franchise. I take care of administration side of things here at the Manor and any other staff for the house. The tavern is currently a separate entity, but I helped to get it off the ground."
Mr. Russel's Perception Check 21
"Lord Darkeyes, I tell you these things because I assume from their behavior last night that they are considering adding you to the staff here. Do you have any questions for me before the rest decide to show up this morning?"
So acquisitions incorporated is strictly adventurer based . Harold mentioned last night he is with the Grey hands. I myself am with the order of the gauntlet . I've been in waterdeep 4 weeks now. Truth be told, I needed to get out of the temple. Not that I've any loathing for anyone there, but after a while of sweeping floors in a confined space with little to no outdoor exposure you tend to want a bit of freedom, hence how I met this group yesterday. So as to questions , first , none are evil that you know of correct ? Next, I could use a bit of coin, not that I'm poor, just that I'm a long way from home, so what is a estimation of gold to be made ? Lastly, would there be objections if once or twice a week I check on the temple of Try, assuming I'll end up staying here a vast majority of my time ?

So I take it Darkeyes does not have any holdings in Waterdeep?

I haven't seen anyone murdering up to this point, no.

Gold comes in on the various jobs, and at the end of the month when our franchise payment is due(if we work hard enough that is. Herald is our Hordesperson, he should know more about it.
Lastly, would there be objections if once or twice a week I check on the temple of Try, assuming I'll end up staying here a vast majority of my time ?
No holdings here in Waterdeep Mr Russel, my true home is in Baulders Gate . So far everything sounds good as far as your answers to my questions go. I've no issue with with joining AqInc , so long as it doesn't affect my religious beliefs. * sips a swig of ale *
"Well I need to get my day started. If you are interested in joining up, the Dungsweepers' Guild is worried they're going to get caught in the crossfire of a gang war. We were hired to provide protection. Meet up with Morton Till at the Muleskull Tavern on Ship Street down in the Dock Ward at six bells, he'll fill you in on the details. If any other show up I'll send them down to join you."
"Well it's down in the Dock Ward(you're in the North Ward), I'm sure you can make it in time if you catch a couch ride down there now. Plenty of time for the Temple after that. Unless you are already working for the Temple?"
(Order of the Gauntlet as a faction is not so much a job as it is a club)
I don't work for the temple per se. It's more like I work for Tyr. With that in the open i do things for the temple while i stay there. Usually cleaning the halls, monasteries, statues, gaurd duty , and the occasional healing service. Now with the opportunity offered to me I can breath outside the walls, make a bit of coin , maybe give a tithe here and there, and maybe even acquire a bow . Ooc: not sure if this was in or out of character oddly enough lol
"However you wish to do it. A dray couch will get you there in time. I hope that you do this, I'd hate to default on the first job sent down to us from the Head Office. And we could use the coin."
(Ooc- it's a 10 day job, of which they have done 4 or 5 already. Nothing much happens, except some event on a random day. It's a quick way to eat up time and gather coin. Most of the faction missions are rather brief like that)
I'll do it. Haven't really had a whole lot to do since I got here. I'll get a small breakfast & head to the temple so that the Tyrnites will know where to find me. I'm sure there won't be any issue bc we should be doing some good. Ooc: cost of a small meal & cart ride ?

I'll get you a cost later, minimum stuff with me at work.
Cart ride to the temple- they say they will let some members of the Order know where you are staying.
Cart ride to the Dock Ward meeting place- a bit of grumbling about the late arrival and low turnout to keep them safe. But they head out, with you in tow, to complete their shift.
The team is 6 guildsmen, all wearing matching caps with red and orange feathers. They are followed by a mule cart, in which they dump various things they pick out of the streets. They seem to organize things on the cart instead of randomly tossing things in.
By the end of their 8 hour shift they have made it to Fishgut Court where several larger wagons are taking in the collections from several other teams.

As long as your ale IS breakfast, 1sp per is fine. Kitchen isn't up and running yet.
And it's Herald and Cloud. Until Arthur is properly brought up to speed on things we'll have to wait for the others before continuing.
And everyone is technically Exhausted today due to the late night activities, full long rest will clear it.
To simplify things for the time being, we'll break up each day into 3 eight hour blocks of time. This should help move things along a little bit.
I'll also let you all remind our missing players about the game moving along. I've been pestering them off and on for 3 weeks, I'm just gonna focus on running the game for those that post here.

Sounds good. I'll go to the temple , let them know what goes on and back directly over here . I don't know my way afterall. Ooc: 6 bells = 6 o'clock?

So I'm guessing that by seeing them arrange things , they are maybe finding. Random trinkets, maybe reusable nails, who knows lol
