With the nimblewright detector in hand, Arthur can begin the search.
Due to the maximum range of the detector, it will take all day to search an entire Ward of the city. Due to it's minimum range, once you find it you can narrow it down to within 30ft of it's location.
Let's test this out shall we? * with that Arthur pulls out the device and bc of the clues he goes in the direction of the bent nail and sees where it goes from there *
You search the North Ward all day with your little umbrella machine. Late in the afternoon it starts spinning.
After an hour of judging the speed changes on the umbrella, you are fairly certain you found a Villa that does contain a nimblewright. (Ooc, I wonder how many other DH campaigns only search for a day since it's right down the street from Trollskull?)
You hear a voice behind you say "Nice toy you got there, c'mon over and have a seat."
You see a hooded figure sitting at an outdoor cafe across the street from the Villa you located, obviously trying to hide his face. He motions to the empty chairs at his table.
His head lifts up just enough for you to see Renaer Neverember smiling back at you.
"Funny meeting you here of all places. I was just about to head over to your Manor after I finished my tea."
"You just missed a friend of mine who passed along some information you might be interested in. Oddly enough, it's about the Villa you seem to be waving your toy at."
Arthur whispers " Hail and well met again Lord Renaer. What could you tell me of this Villa ? Appologies for my being blunt before you revealed yourself , for I figured you might have been someone else getting ready to set us up "
"Well your questions and story the other day left me curious. I tried to look up Dalakhar's friends, but they seem to have gone into hiding since the gnome's demise."
"I also reached out to some friends of mine for some information. Apparently your Urstul Floxin is indeed a suspected member of the Black Network."
"A North Ward resident claims they saw a man matching his description enter Gralhund Villa here. They reported him to the City Watch because he looked suspicious."
"Two City Watch constables spoke to Lord Gralhund. He assured them that no one had broken into the estate and that everything was fine."
He shrugs.
"The constables had no grounds to get a search warrant, so they didn't pursue the matter."
* in a lowered tone whisper * " I was told that the nimblewright that fired that fireball where I live ran off from there towards the direction of the bent nail. So the other day some new friends loaned me this device , so I decided to try it out . After searching this whole ward I ended up here. Apparently the nimblewright is possibly in that villa, going off the way this thing was spinning "
"Sounds like you found your man and your machine. Since I want to keep away from anything involving my father, I'll leave the rest of this mess to you. If anyone happens to ask, I wasn't here."
Hello there. I am Lord Arthur Darkeyes the 3rd. I believe I have a possible lead on the suspect's on the fireball from a few days ago. I have a strange device that was lent to me to find nimblewrights. Sure I know that might sound strange but it starting whirling like crazy at gralhund villa .
The Watch Captain looks at you for a bit "Would you like me to to send a note to the investigators for that attack? Barnibus Blastwind I believe." He starts writing down notes.
If you wouldn't mind , yes. I think that's a good idea. When I had heard that the one who got away moved like a puppet i was told it was possibly a nimblewright , and through other contacts i was given their permission to use this device * produces said device for the city watchman at the desk to see , at a slow speed * and it spins when a nimblewright is within 30 feet . Word has it Floxin is also there.

So you are choosing to search the North Ward today?
Ooc- it's a big city, RP for every street would take forever!
Sure, why not ? Gotta start somewhere anyways .
Will start by going east , south, west , then north making a complete circle

Arthur heads over and takes a seat . " you obviously know what I have here. May I ask you for a name? "
"We met the other day, Lord Darkeyes."
His head lifts up just enough for you to see Renaer Neverember smiling back at you.

Ooc: I'm certain Cloud is here hence " us "

He gives you a nod as he rises to leave.
Thank you Lord Renear . Be safe and if you need help you know where we are.
Ooc: with that once Lord Renear is out of sight Arthur gets up and heads to the city watch which is damn near next to the troll skull tavern
Arthur gets to the City Watch station down the street. Inside is on guy behind a desk, and it sounds like a few more are in a room in the back.

It doesn't spin here. It spins whenever one is within 500 feet, spins faster when you get closer, max speed within 30 feet.
Slight correction sir, spins at 500', spins faster as you close in, and spins at it's fastest when 1 is within 30'
