Nodding at Bhur and Nea's comments, Jayson says, "I guess i should count myself lucky. I don't have anyone I need to worry over. Maybe some very old friends back in Waterdeep. But, they've not counted on me in many years. I doubt I'd be able to find them after all this time. Who knows where they could be."
He will remove his shoes, wiggling his toes. Enjoying the freeing feeling of bare feet. It reminded him of running through Waterdeep as an urchin, unable to keep proper shoes on his feet. That had all changed when he met his Master.
"If only the old man were still around. He always knew what to do.. What about you guys? Any family to worry about?"
He'll ask as he starts into one of the many kata's taught to him by his master. Knees bending, hips snapping, fists blocking and countering attacks that weren't there. He executed kicks into the empty air, shifting from one form to another, pacing through the kata, methodically, purposefully.
"An old." He grunts as his feet thud back to the earth after a butterfly kick.
"Ornery!" He pivots into a spinning back fist.
"Sourpuss!" Right foot shuffling to left heel, before executing a sharp side kick with his left foot.
"Tough as hell." His feet settle, under him now, shoulders width apart.
"Elf, called Himo Meliamne." He finishes as his right fists meets his left palm, and he bends at the waist. A bow to the old Elf he could still imagine standing before him. Even in his own imagination Jayson pictured his master scowling down his nose at him critically.
He could just about hear Himo chastising his form and technique. "Your form is sloppy. How many times must i tell you, it is not a race. You humans go barreling towards your death as fast as you can. Slow down. Practice perfect technique, and the speed will come naturally."
Relaxing the tension in his body, he'll turn to address Billiam directly.
"Himo Oakenheel to those who can translate. He took me on as a pupil when i was a 13 year old street rat. When i say he was old, i really mean it. He was over 700 years old when we met! He never told me specifically how old he was. But i was able to weasel info out of acquaintances of his we saw over the years." With a sad smile, Jayson will blink away the threat of tears.
"What about you? Where'd you learn to write all those poems?" He asks cordially, steering the conversation to what he'd hoped would bee a lighter subject.
Ethan would nod when Jason requested first watch, having already started to prepare for it himself. He would take second watch, so would turn in for some sleep as soon as it was time for sleeping.
Before then he would nod to the others as they start discussing the situation they were in. "We can only deal with what is in front of us. If we can aid the city, then great, if not, then that will just have to be how it is. We are only mortal beings, so can only face down what problems we find."
Billiam responds to Jayson "The New Olamn Bard College my good sir, in Waterdeep, it was the best. People not only reciting poetry but creating it, evenings filled with music and song. It was a wonderful place."
Billiam looks worried as you settle down for the night
"I was wondering good folks in the morning, if we could check on Open Skyes paper? Its a shop not far from here I just wish to make sure Skye left unhindered,"

You have an uneventful night. After Breakfast and Breaking camp, early in the morning. In less than an hour Billiam leads you to a very small village of maybe 4 houses
A wooden sign reading “Open Skye’s” hangs in front of a small house at the edge of the road. The nearby houses have broken windows and doors, and appear to have been ransacked. The area is otherwise appears deserted but the windows of the shop occasionally has a faint flicker of light, of a bluish hue noticed more due to the dawn light
Between Nea and Ethan we got a few Javelins, If they agree and time allows, i would try to use the stingers and poison sacks to add poison to 4 of those javelins (2 for each). (I assume they will turn into regular weapons after one use)
"Somehow I don't think Skye is here," Nea states as she takes her axe and pushes the door open if she can with it.

Jayson will cringe slightly, as Nea pushes at the door with her axe.
"One of these days we ought to try a stealthier approach." He says to the group, as he unsheathes his shortsword and steps up to follow Nea. He assumed that whoever was inside must be aware of their presence now.
"Call out to your friend Billiam... see if they'll answer."
Nea looks back at Jayson then to the heavily armored Bhuraelea in half plate armor & Ethan in plate armor, "Not going to happen,"

Looking from his armor clad companions, to himself in nothing but a shirt with its sleeves ripped off, a pair of traveling pants and plain shoes. "I guess i see your point." He says grinning.
"Hellooo! Is anyone in here?" He'll call into the building, throwing caution to the wind.

Billiam says "Who did you learn that from my good man?"

"Don't see why not." Ethan says with a shrug, moving to his bedroll. "Anyone have something else we should be doing?" he asks, glancing to the others.
