“I do.” Kwisatz replies, casting a Mage Hand that floats next to him. “Shall I try to pull one of them?” ((If anyone says yes, he sends the hand over in an attempt to do so.))
"Yeah, why not?" Sael chuckles to herself. "Everyone should probably be prepared for whatever though. Maybe step back." She promptly steps out of what she perceives could be harms way, and readies herself.

Kwizats sends his spectral hand over to one of the winches and he has his disembodied hand tug on it a few times. He can tell that it's stuck in there pretty hard due to what looks like years of rust buildup. He furrows his brow and strains his magical tendrils to try and push the mage hand to turn this thing.
I am going to have Kwisatz do a straight Intelligence check (since INT is a Wizard's main spell casting attribute) to see if he can get the hand to heave with enough oomph. (DC15). We can have this be an extended test (since mage hand can't carry more than 10lbs and this is stuck rust). Each roll will be the equivalent of 5 minutes worth of effort. So, if it takes 2 rolls to get to 15, that's 10 minutes worth of effort. If it takes 30 or more minutes, you'll have to roll a CON save in order to see whether or not you are able to maintain the spell. If you fail the CON save, you'll get one level of exhaustion.
Roll 1: 8 (5 minutes) Roll 2: 21 (10 minutes)
After a solid ten minutes' worth of effort, Kwiats's mage hand is able to move the winch enough that the barrier lifts up by 5'. (So, each successful turn of the winch = 5' of clearance.)
Sweating from the mental effort, Kwisatz lets his Mage Hand fade. If he needs to he can easily go under the gate to move the next, but would rather take a minute to catch his breath if another can go under.
So, we'll allow Andrømeda the same extended checks that we were doing for Mage Hand.
Roll 1 took 5 minutes worth of strain and didn't make it there, yet.
Since I know you're online, go ahead and make another roll. If the two rolls together don't add up to 15, edit the post and add another roll under it, adding 5 minutes each time.
((Sorry, playing some League of Legends and the match went long. Didn't mean to make a liar out of you haha))
Andrømeda wipes her brow from the exertion, turning to walk over to the double doors now that the gate was suitably open. "Best vi knock, ja?" She says, before striking the door a couple of times, once more calling out, "Hels dir! Vi are friends from Phandalin! If dir is anyone here, vi vish to speak vith du!" She waits for several moments for a response, hoping her knocking and the sound of the gate opening may have drawn someone to check.

With Kwizats's guidance, Andrømeda kicks the door with all of her momentum. You can hear the timbers creak and crack, but they don't budge. Based on her experience as a warrior, she figures the team can get through these doors if they all pitch in.
Andrømeda gives the doors a tap with her knuckles after her kick, turning to look back at the others. "If vi all hit it, vi can break through. Kom, let's see vhat vaits on de other side, ja?"

Andrømeda firms her grip on her greataxe at Sael's words, taking two steps back away from the gate, but otherwise doesn't seem overly concerned.

After ten minutes, Andrømeda is able to get the portcullis raised up 5 more feet for a total of 10' of clearance.
Now, standing before you all are once stately double doors that presumably lead into the fortress.

Andrømeda knocks and she can kind of hear the echo of her knock reverberating off of the stone walls inside of the fortress.
Rush approaches the door and attempts to open it, but the wooden doors are apparently barred from the inside.
