The remaining cloak outside and the two cloaks inside have their heads intact.
Ava is still behind the bar but is now standing as Loom/Modron enter the inn to investigate the two cloaks. She says, "Well, it didn't take you all long to get into more problems. Who were those people, do you know them? Now I am going to have to scrub this blood over my floor. On one hand, it does need it after the celebration last night." She turns to one of the patrons that are standing around talking amongst themselves. "Argus, can you go find Braun...if the lazy bastard is even awake!! We will need to get these bodies cleared out." You all know Braun as the head of the city guard. Ava turns back to Loom and Modron. "We will take care of moving these bodies to the morgue. You all have nothing to worry about...other than these strange people seem to be wanting to cause trouble. I wish you all luck!"
After checking the bodies the only materials you find on the cloaked figures are 30GP. The wavy daggers that the two inside of the inn were using don't seem to be sharp at all, almost as if it was not meant for combat. The skin of these people is a pale blue color, wrinkles as if they were well into their years (contrary to how they fought), and their teeth are yellowed. Other than that they are not carry any papers or have any means of identification.
Modron while checking the bodies you get a glimpse of a colored tattoo on their shoulder blade that goes further down their back. You would have to remove their hood and top to see the tattoo further.
If Lorilla allows Heilamin to examine. The medallion looks to be made of gold. There are some chunks missing from the medallion and it seems to be old. Heilamin you've never seen anything like this before.

Heilamin examines the medallion turning it over in his fingers. While looking at the carvings on the medallion, Heilamin racks his mind to see if he recognizes anything that might hint at its origin? He also attempts to determine the presence of magic associated with the medallion: Religion check 4. Investigation: 15Wisdom (Perception): 18Arcana: 12.
OOC: Does it appear that the chunks missing from the medal were from a blade attempting to damage or destroy the medallion? or are these missing due to age and general wear/tear? Do I sense the presence of magic?
It appears that there is a hole whereby the medallion may be threaded through a chain and worn about one's neck. Heilamin intuits that this medallion's purpose was more than simple jewelry nor would it be used as a means of currency. Rather, Heilamin believes that the medallion must have some magical properties that bestow the possessor/wearer with some boon. As Heilamin handles the medallion he begins to softly sing,
"Are you the answer, to all I need? Are you the answer, the answer for me?
I've no memory of this life you see I'm a new born of your company I'm just finding out, I'm just questioning Are you the answer? Are you the answer for me?" -- (AYTA, Collective Soul)
to give Bardic Inspiration 4 to whichever of the ability/skill checks above that is most pertinent for finding out about the medallion.
Modron you remove the hood and top to expose the figures back. It is an elaborately colored tattoo of a figure in a jaguar skin wearing a headdress of sorts and holding a staff.
Heilamin you examine the medallion further and you are not getting a sense of arcane emitting from the piece. You're best guess is the medallion is ancient so the holes could be deterioration from the ages. There are strange inscriptions around the end of the medallion, they don't seem to be magical writing or any language you you understand.
Ava is taken aback by the initiative of the brave adventurers who just yesterday saved their town from a imminent doom. "Oh...I know you *CAN* move these bodies, but you don't not have to. I am sure once Braun arrives his guards will take care of it. He will also want to know what happened...I will take care of that as well. By the looks of it, you have matters you need to tend to. I saw a goblin run by too, what happened of them?" Ava's face looks of concern for the goblin.

Modron looks in wonder "These are indeed amazing tattoos. They are part of a dangerous oganization" He takes out a sketch pad and draws the shape as best he can in order to remember it. "I say we ask around like Loom says. These symbols may have been seen before."
Heilamin agrees, "Ava, do you know anyone well-schooled in lore and history of whom we might inquire regarding the origins of these foul cloaked menaces and their interesting tattoos? Unfortunately, the poor goblin was brutally murdered by one of these cloaked fiends. I tried to heal him, but he was too far gone."
"I have seen the likes of these foul beings before...I can't believe they killed that poor goblin...what I can tell is they were up to no good. Barging in after that goblin...they ,must have been after him for some reason. This tattoo you speak of also does not seem familiar to me. Maybe Braun knows something I don't? I don't get out of the Swordsman much."

Ava looks sweetly at you all. "I love the ambition you all have! Please please...take a seat and take a few moments to gather yourselves. I am sure Argus will return quickly with Braun."
OOC: You all can assume Braun will be here shortly. Argus has already left to find him. This can be time to gather your equipment and finish breakfast that was interrupted.

"In that case..." Heilamin sits down, and tosses the medallion back to Loom. "Hopefully, Braun knows more about these markings. Sounds like Ava and Braun have come across these cloaked figures before. Hopefully with less loss of life."
Loom, upon further examination...you don't recognize the image on either side of the medallion, but you do recognize the script on the outer rim of the medallion. It reads in celestial:
This is the Herald's Key. It opens the door to the Shunned City of Hearth.

Looms looks up at Heilamin after examining the medallion. "I can read this inscription, it is written in Celestial. It reads 'This is the Herald's Key. It opens the door to the Shunned City of Hearth.' It is a key of sorts! I haven't heard of Hearth before...but I must tell you all that I must leave. My order sent me notice of deployment last night, I am to head to the west to assist. I am sorry this is short notice...but I have faith in you all that you will be able to solve this mystery thrown at us...maybe someday our paths will cross again"
Looms hands the medallion back to Heilamin. They will wait for good bye remarks, and then leave the Swordsman...to journey West for their order.
Heilaman with a 17 history check, you have heard tales of a city...they speak of many treasure hidden the temple at the lost city of Hearth, you assumed these fairy tales as no one knows where this Hearth is..****y that it holds great riches of gold and arms deep in the temple's belly.
