Renee/Heilamin, The Obsidian Plain is a geographical book with maps, details of landmarks, and the history of the plain. The maps have Arrow's handwriting, circling different areas with ??? and notes mentioning "The Well of Secrets". His maps do not have an exact location, at least in this book. You remember The Well of Secrets being marked on the map you took from the werejaguar at Arrow's Oddities. Otherwise, the book has nothing more of interest.
Heilamin you haven't heard much, and it is mostly because there is not much known about the island themselves. Those who went to the island either never returned, or came back with little information other than stories of dangerous jungle and this mysterious tribe of...some sort of humanoid animal that can't be compared to anything known to this world.

"Is there anything else you need from me? If not...you will excuse me...I need a moment before I inform everyone else of Moop..."

Mackenzie adds to the conversation "Indeed.....the trail gets more and more intriguing but if you could indulge Renee & I, would you consider returning to the cultists camp we found and ending that threat before we depart....assuming of course that that is what is decided? There may yet be more information to be garnered from them that could aid any quest"
It is apparent that Mackenzie feels that there is unfinished business and that this group of heoes are well placed to bring the cultists threat to an end.....at least for some time.
Modron continues to look around a little but doesn't find anything useful. "So Mackenzie, you want to go back and understand the cultist better. Or at least try to remove that threat? I am willing. But it does seem like we will want to visit the island to understand this mystery." He nods towards the medallion.
"Aye, we need to get rid of them buggers. They ain't good for decent folk," Renee says with a scowl. She hands the medallion back to Loom and wipes her fingers as if she's touched something nasty.

Mackenzie responds "They may well have moved on, but we have seen the damage that they can cause, if we can destroy a good number of them then the city will be safer for it. Perhaps after a night's rest and some planning for the trip to the island we can venture out to see whether they are still there."

If there is nothing else you would like to gather from the Diamond House, you all head back to Knotside. It is late in the day and the sun has just hidden beyond the horizon when you enter The Venerable Swordsman. Ava greets you kindly, including the two new adventurers. You may say if you do anything in the evening, but otherwise you all will head to your rooms and get a good nights sleep (long rest).

In the morning Mackenzie meets the others for breakfast and turns the discussion toward organisation of travel, asking Ava for suggestions of who might be best to talk to about the journey they need to undertake, thinking that they may be able to join a trade caravan rather than having to strike out alone....

Ava tells Mackenzie that your best bet to get to the Omerian ocean is to charter a sailing ship from the port. She says there is frequent merchant ship traffic that stops in Knotside's port and takes the Fairknot River to the Omerian ocean.
OOC: It is a good idea to check on the cultist camp, but you had the impression that this may be a temporary camp. When Mackenzie and Renee were tracking these cultists, they usually only left small traces of them being there. I don't think a few hour round trip to the spot would yield much more information that you already have.

Assuming the night passes without incident, Mackenzie will be up early taking breakfast in the common room, waiting for the other to rouse.
He will relay that in hindsight he thinks that the cultists are unlikely to still be at the site so it may not be worth the time, and then goes on to inform them of the advice Ava gave him about finding passage on a merchant ship bound for the Omerian ocean.
After a good nights rest he is eager to get moving........
The sky starts to brighten as the sun is beginning to rise on the horizon. The group travels to the port to find a ship getting ready to leave dock. This is a sailing ship, the crew is rigging up for travel by loading crates, barrels, and dried plants on board. The name painted on the hull is The Flying Elbow. A man with an eye patch made from red dragon skin stands at the wheel, confidently leading the crew as they prep to sail.

You all walk up the plank to deck and try to stay out of the way of the busy sailors as they prepare to set sail. Greeting the captain, he takes off his hat and does a deep bow to you all.
"Welcome to ye ol' faithful, The Flying Elbow. My name is Cap'n Andy Savage (can you tell I am a WWE fan yet?), pleasure's all mine. Looking to charter The Flying Elbow ey? Where to?"
You explain that you are looking for passage to the island of Mijueza.
"Ey, That jagged rock in the middle of the sea. Don't need to know ye reasonin', just need to pay for passage and ye be welcome aboard. I make sure ye get back to land, the island isn't far off this blasted rock once ye get out the river."
After a good night's sleep and a hearty breakfast, Renee follows the others to the boat. "Ohh pretty," she says looking up at it but winces at the price of passage.

Heilamin approaches Cap'n Savage, "Cap'n, the pleasure is all mine. This looks like a trusty vessel you have here. You know, we've had a couple rough days recently -- just saved Knotside from a band of roving orcs. Then while eating breakfast, witnessed a murder by a group of cultists. We're on a mission for justice and the good of the realm -- someday people may actually sing a song about our adventures. Wouldn't it be great if you and your ship had a verse in that song? What do you say you give us the ol' friends and family discount on passage? 30 GP?"
