Baeshra will dismiss his sphere of fire, and stand there unbloodied and only slightly tired, "A few squirrels could make for a good stew. But I have no interest in chasing it through the bushes. Droop? Fetch. Anyway, shall we head back to the cultists place and rest and bind their wounds? I can keep first watch."
Umbriel takes Pale's lead, and if Droop looks for any kind of approval to go squirrel hunting, Umbriel gives a slight nod. "Nice work on those spiders, Droop. I definitely appreciated it." Once he gets his four hours of meditation, Umbriel will volunteer to take the second watch.
Droop looks around "What squirrel? Nasty spiders bite you. Droop try to save!"
The party makes camp in the Cultist's former abode. Is everyone using rations, or foraging before bed? If foraging make a Survival check. The night passes without incident. Morning dawns on the 12th of Flamerule. What does the party want to do now?
Umbriel will tuck into a ration. Being poisoned means he doesn't really trust anything beyond the staples that he brought with him. As the morning breaks, he discusses options with the party.
"I see two options for dealing with the dragon. First is fighting it, and if the legends are to be believed, that's no small task. Second is trying to reason with it, which could potentially fail, and we end up fighting it anyway. Neither of those outcomes is really ideal.
Besides, we have more pressing things to worry about - Lyngheid's cousin is being held at Cragmaw Castle, which we now know how to find thanks to Reidoth. I'd like to suggest that we head there and liberate him before attempting to engage this dragon, no matter its age.
If that's what we do, does anyone want to look around more of these ruins, see if there's anything of use or value in the spider lair, for example?"
Ireniana's eyes snap open as Whistler's cries. She munches on her ration. "I agree. We should look through the rest of the town before traveling to Cragmaw."

I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
The party wakes and discusses their plan over a breakfast of rations (except Baeshra, who found some nice berries and mint).
It sounds like everyone is in agreement on searching the rest of the town, further discussions about whether to visit the dragon now or after Cragmaw castle can be had whilst looking through the town.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Let's check out the Old Smithy first, as it's closer. "If I understand the particulars of your plan, Whistler, you're suggesting we feed a zombie to the dragon and wait for it to choke on the ash? Not a bad plan - but how do we capture a zombie?"
"ZOMBIE ZOMBIE ZOMBIE ZOMBIE *biting motions* DRAGON! We feed lots zombie to dragon!" Crafty little Kenku, he chuckles to himself. "Magic? Old man can help!"
When you approach the building you see a wide chimney and rotted piles of firewood jumbled outside the walls of this sagging building suggest that it was a smithy in its day. When you bust through the door, you are greeted by two ash zombies. It actually takes a couple of rounds, but you manage to dispatch them without too much trouble.
A search of the interior shows a variety of old tools: tongs, bellows, hammers, and a pair of iron anvils are scattered around. Nothing else useful is found.
Lyngheid inspects the forge materials and decides that human stuff just isn't very well made.
" Store?"
Sure. The party works it's way around the carcasses of the Giant Spiders from the previous day. Droop eyes them warily and you have to hold him back from pouncing on them. You manage to cut your way through the webs and make it inside the store.
More spider webs fill the interior, but you find the corpse of an unfortunate adventurer cocooned in spider silk. The body is shriveled up and sucked dry, but appears to have been a male elf. The body wears studded leather armor and a shortsword in a scabbard at its hip.
You also find a belt pouch with a potion of healing, 23 gold and 35 silver pieces.

" Aye. We searched it already, yes?"
Baeshra nods as he heads to help calm the mule and horse and lead them over, "Yes, mostly just some cots, not much there."
