Splitting up the findings, Umbriel gives each other member of the party 4 gold, and seven silver pieces. He will keep two gold for himself, give one gold to Droop for his continued faithful service, and offer the potion of healing to whomever would like it. He'll load the studded leather and the shortsword into the cart. "You never know, this could come in handy later. Where to now? There's the farmhouse to the immediate southwest, but if we're going to find anything that can help us against a dragon I suspect it will be at the old barracks in the north east corner of town, according to Reidoth's map."

Baeshra will eye the sword and armor as Umbriel pulls them out, “Do you think we can trust Droop enough now to maybe give those to him? Stop him from trying to use his fists on everything at least. Might not be a bad idea to let him hold on to the potion as well, in case of an emergency. Speaking of, did anyone ever identify that last potion?”
Droop excitedly takes the gold piece and holds it up to the light, moving it around so it shines dully. "Pretty! Many thank you! Droop is helpfulllll!"
The thickets between the two buildings are too thick to get through in a timely manner, so you follow the road around and to the Blighted Farmhouse. As you approach, Reidoth steps outside. "Good morning! You folks are really stirring up the town! Good job with those giant spiders. Where are you headed to now?"

"That's not a bad idea. Droop, do you think you can use these items? I'd also like you to hang on to this potion. If you see one of us fall, your job will be to bring the potion over and administer aid. If you're willing to do that, you can have this armor and this sword." To Reidoth, Umbriel says "We're going to clear the rest of the buildings before attempting to engage that dragon in the tower. Speaking of which, how's your new friend working out?"
"That's not a bad idea. Droop, do you think you can use these items? I'd also like you to hang on to this potion. If you see one of us fall, your job will be to bring the potion over and administer aid. If you're willing to do that, you can have this armor and this sword."
Droop eyes the sword and armor and potion, then nods. "Droop attack!! Droop attack nasties!!!"
If you give him the equipment, with Ireniana's help he will get a few pointers on how to use the short sword. You all manage to strap him into the studded leather armor. It is too big for Droop, but is better than nothing. The next time you are in town, an armorer/tailor can cut it down to size for him. Droop hangs the potion off his belt, next to his coin pouch and his half a bag of ball bearings and chirps proudly spinning around to show everyone his new ensemble: "Droop attack? Droop feed potions!"
To Reidoth, Umbriel says "We're going to clear the rest of the buildings before attempting to engage that dragon in the tower. Speaking of which, how's your new friend working out?"
"When my spells wear off, he is as surly as ever. Luckily I can keep him placated for the most part."
"Clear the rest of the town, aye? Alright. be careful in that farmhouse, there's nothing in there but twig blights. You can check it out for yourselves if you want, but I wouldn't. May as well just leave the twig blights alone."
Baeshra will move over to Droop and kneel down next to him, "Not attack, you will defend. I am counting on you to defend the beasts we bring with us and to guard the backs of these softskins. Can you do this?"
Listening to Reidoth, "Perhaps we should just ignore the farmhouse and clear the barracks?"
Baeshra will move over to Droop and kneel down next to him, "Not attack, you will defend. I am counting on you to defend the beasts we bring with us and to guard the backs of these softskins. Can you do this?"
Droop looks solemnly at Baeshra and nods. "Droop defend softskins! Droop defend horse and mule so we can eat them later!"
Ireniana goes over to Droop. "Let me show you how to use that sword."
She'll show him some attack and defense techniques while stressing that he should only use the weapon to defend the animals from enemies.
Ireniana shows Droop how to use the sword without hurting himself, after 15 minutes or so he has enough of a handle on it to defend the beasts of burden! Over the next few days Ireniana and Droop work together and Droop becomes quite the little swordsman. "Thank you, Ireena!"
"That sounds reasonable,"Umbriel says. "We may as well head to the old weaver's house, then the barracks. Have you been up there yet?"
Reidoth nods. "Yup. Nothing in the Weaver's cottage cept a broken loom. And more twig blights around the south part of it."
"The barracks, though, more Ash Zombies in there. Still wearing the remnants of their armor, poor souls. I haven't searched the place, but from what I could see there weren't much in their either."
Listening to Reidoth, "Perhaps we should just ignore the farmhouse and clear the barracks?"
Reidoth nods again. "Ignore the farmhouse, yes. Even ignore the barracks, unless you got a hankering for zombie fighting. Like I said, the Dragon is the one I'm worried about."
"All good advice, Reidoth."To the rest of the group, Umbriel says, "We can either go directly to the dragon, then, or try to lure some of the ash zombies from the barracks up to the dragon's tower, though we should probably talk about how to do that effectively, first."
Moving away from the druid, Baeshra will look at the group, “I doubt there’s anything we need on the zombies. Do we want to try and talk with the dragon first, or head to Cragmaw keep first? I would feel slightly more comfortable facing the dragon when we’re no longer in a race to save someone, thoughts?”
Umbriel nods, and says "I'm of two minds on the subject. I agree, enacting the rescue is a higher priority, but I also fear that if we don't do something about this dragon now, it will become an even greater problem down the line. You know how these things go - we'll find some additional clue at Cragmaw that requires immediate attention, and the next time we find an opportunity to come back and deal with the dragon, we're hundreds of miles away and he's firmly entrenched. At least now, we have the element of surprise on our hands.
"And a supply of ash zombies in armor we can use as a distraction,"he finishes, nodding at Whistler.
" If you really want to do this Umbriel, I'll follow you but about half of us are going to die....I mean we are barely holding our own against giant bugs....though we did take out the zombies and cultists handily."
" I'm a wedding planner, I will go where those wiser in the ways of battle send me."
Baeshra hesitates for a moment before responding, ”If we want to talk with the creature, I am willing to do so, but I would argue that we are not yet ready to face a dragon in battle. And bringing the zombies likely wouldn’t help as it can simply fly up while we’re stuck on the ground with them.”

" Farmhouse should be quick.....we don't want to get too close to the dragon if we can help it."
"Let's check out the farmhouse then."
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.

" So the blights are natural creatures? What an unfortunate name..."
" To the weavers we go."

"That they are, lass. I hate to hurt 'em, but they sure are mean little buggers once disturbed."
"All good advice, Reidoth." To the rest of the group, Umbriel says, "We can either go directly to the dragon, then, or try to lure some of the ash zombies from the barracks up to the dragon's tower, though we should probably talk about how to do that effectively, first."
Ireniana will chuckle at Droop and watch him practice before moving on. She doesn't correct him as many folks have said her name wrong over the years.

Whistler leans back on his greatsword pondering how to lead the zombies to the dragon. He thinks long and hard, chewing on a tough seed.
"Zombie not run? We walk fast?" he asks the party.
