He'll then use his Eldritch Sight to cast Detect Magic and will walk around looking for anything that sparkles.
Umbriel, you quickly walk the perimeter and your spell picks up a faint blurb in the center of the cavern. You find a Potion of Vitality underneath one of the centuries-old dwarven remains.
Umbriel takes note of the unhappy kenku and quickly describes what the potion he found does, if anyone needs it. "There shouldn't be that many more rooms to clear, or we can head back out and camp outside the mine if that's better?"
Rosie, at 1 HP, shakes herself and stands up. "Allow myself to heal...myself before we set out further. Does anyone else need a little healing right away?"
Baeshra prowls around the area, keeping an ear and nose out for any sign of further enemies, giving Whistler a light whack on the rump with his tail on the way past.
"We have three choices, it would seem. We can go south east, we can go south west, or we can go back the way we came. I know we're all tired, so if we continue on we'll have to be careful, or we can stop here and continue when we're ready. I personally think heading to the south east first, and working our way back to the west will be thorough, but I'm certainly open to other ideas. Lyngheid, what do you think?" Umbriel sits on the stairs leading up to the western landing, and he idly summons his obsidian bladed scimitar and twirls its point through the dust at his feet. He looks weary, but his color has returned to his usual pale grey now that his circulation has returned to normal.

Easy there.. before your short rest can be completed, you hear a shout from the passageway that Nyx went down, followed by too familiar snarls and grunts. Nyx and the Turned ghouls/ghasts have stumbled into each other!

Droop and Rosie pop up at the sound of Nyx's shout. Droop runs down the stairs looking for Nyx. Rosie runs close to the stairs and readies a crossbow bolt.
Ireniana manages to take out the last Ghast and recover poor Droop! We are out of initiative!
Droop scrambles away from the fallen creature: "Thank you Reena!! Ugly thing wanted to eat Droop! Droop not for eating!"
Then he retrieves his dagger, bow and looks around for any arrows that he can recover.
The paralysis on Lyngheid and Nyx fades.
