Umbriel will descend quickly, since stealth seems superfluous now. Athletics: 5
Ouch! You fall the whole way, taking 11 bludgeoning damage.
(ooc: and this is why we cast False Life, kids!)
Umbriel lands in a heap, and trying to salvage his bruised pride, stands up and says to anyone still in the chamber "Quickly, I have gotten his attention, so we should move outside and wait for them to attack."
Omen sighs. "It appears that we will have to do better to draw them out, this was meant to be a rescue of some sorts was it not?"
Omen thinks a moment: "When wood roaches infest a home the only way to get them out is to smoke them out." he says. "We could try smoking them out with a fire and directing the smoke into the cave."
Baeshra will cock his head at Omen, "Unless they decide to bring the hostages with them for some reason, wouldn't that kill the people we were trying to save?"
Omen shakes his head "I might be seeing you a lot sooner than I anticipated Iona." he whispers.
"All right my lads and ladies I believe the only way it to drag the bugger out of the cave." he says grimly "It didn't go well for your last party Baeshra and you mentioned something of water trap. What was that again?"
"I would suggest hit and run tactics. Hit them then retreat." he says "But, what do I know, I'm just a farmer."
Omen takes a torch from his pack. He uses Prestidigitation to light the torch then picks it up and carries it to the mouth of the cave. He will then use Mage Hand to hold the Torch and move it 20 ft. in front of him. Omen will stand off to the right of the cave as he sends his torch forward.
"I suggest we form a phalanx. Fighters in front, Casters behind. Healers hold spells until warrior get hit then heal them. Ranged attacks use this torch as a marker until we confront these things." he suggests.
"Time is wasting and this is a rescue so, lives are at stake." he says. "It may not be a good plan but it's a plan and standing around talking all night will not help those in danger."
Baeshra will follow at the end of the group, watching for sign that folk might come down either path.
Perception: 26
Very nice Baeshra! You don't sense anything coming down either path. As you round the corner, you see the bridge above and you can just barely make out the toes of a goblin standing on the bridge, but from your position you can't see more than that.

Rosie follows along outside, hiding in the bushes and readying her crossbow.

Alright, you all hurry out of the cave and hide in the bushes, waiting for something to happen...
1 minute goes by...nothing appears.
2 minutes...nothing
5 minutes...nothing
How long do you want to wait?
Omen
Omen moves outside and hide among the trees, waiting.
Perception: 14
Cronan is going to hide among the trees as well.
Stealth - 16
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Baeshra will mutter from the bushes, "If we were just going to hide out here, at least we could have gotten a good night's sleep."
Nursing a tender spot on the back of his head, Umbriel shrugs and says "Well, my idea didn't work. What do you all want to do now?"
Omen

"I would suggest hit and run tactics. Hit them then retreat." he says "But, what do I know, I'm just a farmer."
Baeshra gives a half-shrug, "Not really of sure the details, but they did something that released a wave of water that swept us out of the cave."
" Wait....last time you entered did which way did you go? Straight ahead along the waterway?"
" What if we took that left tunnel we saw, where does that lead?"
“It leads up a difficult climb to where I was ambushed by eight or ten goblins and has to flee.”
Cronan shrugs. "I prefer a hit three times and run, but I guess we can try it this way. We could always try and bring them out here."

"Agreed. Lead on, Omen. Or rather, Omen's torch."
After hiding in the bushes for 5 minutes, waiting to spring your ambush, but with no one coming, the party begins to discuss other plans.
Deciding on a course of action you all start back into the cave, led by Omen's Mage Hand carrying a torch.
Let me know if you don't like your setup in the picture below. The orange circle is the torch.
Does everyone continue up the creek? Does anyone stay in the kennel, or try the chimney again?

OOC: Looks good to me! Sorry, got a migraine yesterday and forgot to check in again.
