In Chamber 26A, The Duchess's chamber, Lyngheid, Nyx and Baeshra continue searching for the combination or a way in to the chest. There is no sign of the combination, and the chest seems pretty solid. You can't find a way to open it without undoing the lock.
The two beds in 26B are iron-framed. They look comfortable, but too large for a human. Just above the left most bed is an empty barrel placed in front of a full length mirror mounted on the wall. A closet to the south holds two large, empty crates, and an open chest filled with half-burned dolls and broken toys.
No sign of a combination, or of any other creatures.
Umbriel casts a wary eye at the Duchess' room. "Wasn't she speaking giantish to someone in here? Let's be careful, but quick, Baeshra is right - we need to go soon."
He will assist Nyx if she makes another attempt at the lock.
Umbriel and Baeshra gather around Nyx, Lyngheid offers some magical Guidance to her as she works her lock pick tools into the lock and feels one tumbler fall into place after another until the last one. Fiddling the tools, she just couldn't find the right positioning until she felt the magical warmth from Lyngheid's Guidance guide her tool to just the right position and click! the lock popped open!
Nice! It was a DC21 check, so you needed that help and Guidance!
Just to be clear: Nyx, Lyngheid, Umbriel and Baeshra and Droop are gathered around the chest, where Nyx has just successfully picked the lock. Ireniana is either there too or maybe by the door keeping a lookout?

" Maybe we should all back up from the chest just in case Nyx is a little fumble fingured after her ordeal....", Lyngheid moved back 25' from the chest, " I'll stabilise you if you get poisoned or frozen or whatever..."
Once the others were gathered at the chest, Baeshra would recommend Droop help Ireniana keep watch.
(Also, are we just assuming Whistler has been hanging out on the ship to help guard it while we're down here?)

Nyx tests the lid and the lock and can't detect any sign of a trap, so opens it up and WHOOSH! A cloud of incendiary gas ignites a 20 foot radius sphere around the chest.
Nyx is the only one in range, make a DC15 Dexterity check or take 45 fire damage, half on a success.
As soon as the fire clears, Umbriel will leap in and administer a healing potion to Nyx (who I assume will be knocked out by the Blast) for 7 hps healed.
( Umbriel still has a healing potion! Yay! We're gonna be kinda screwed if the conch isn't in there.....cos we are in no condition to keep looking for it.)
Oh yeah, good point. Nyx, with only 7 hitpoints, goes down regardless of the Dex Save. Umbriel swoops in with the healing potion and, ironically, Nyx is back to 7 HP!
Once the smoke clears, and the party gets a look in the chest, you see a giant-sized adamantine crown set with six black opals resting on a bed of ashes.
Under the ashes are 6,300 worth of gold and platinum pieces, a large sea shell about 2.5 feet long that does indeed look like a conch, and a small assortment of potions and items.
I'm going to need five d100 rolls, one from each of you!

Baeshra turns to Nyx, "Any chance you can take one more try with your tools? Otherwise, we'll have to leave, now, before the duke comes back."
Certainly possible to retry now that the dust has settled from the fight. Hopefully with Advantage from someone helping, and Guidance as well!

Baeshra will try and quickly empty the chest, grabbing as many items and coins as they're able to so they can leave quickly.

(Umbriel has two basic healing potions left, for emergencies like exploding chests)
Also, Umbriel does a quick pass with Detect Magic to see if the crown has a magical aura, and if so, of what nature.
