"It seems like goblins". Whistler cranes his neck to look at the Lizardman, eye to... thigh. "Are you Goblin?" He asks whilst tilting his head side to side, staring eye to thigh.

Baeshra will look at the little birdman for a moment, "No, of course I'm not a goblin, they're more your size, though there's a big one with them. Yes, goblins ambushed our employer, we tracked them back to their cave, but we were outnumbered 4 or 5 to 1 and I think they've managed to kill or capture the rest of my companions, though they accounted well for themselves. I barely managed to escape to seek aid, but I'm exhausted and not sure I could be much aid in combat at the moment. If you want to seek them in the dark now, I can lead you and support as best I can, but I suspect a night's sleep would greatly increase my ability to help."
Omen will lower his guard a bit. "Rest here a moment." he says to Baeshra, directing the Lizardman to a spot to the side of the wagon.
"i know you are exhausted son but , how close is this cave?" Omen asks.
"I'm not sure but, from what I have heard, goblins are nocturnal creatures and we may be sitting ducks if they are and they come out." he says generally to the group over all.
Omen looks around. What he is looking for is any thing that can be uses as a defensive position in case of attack or a place they might move just in case.
"This one has seen the horrors of death firsthand, though if it were going to attack us, I presume it would not try talking to us. I'll wager it knows something about this attack, though."
Umbriel lowers his spear and looks around, not totally discounting the possibility of other lizardmen lurking in ambush.
(ooc: written just before Baeshra explained everything)
Baeshra will sit and try and regain his breath, "Its possible they will follow and attack, but they have also just been in a great battle as well, they may also be tired. Their cave isn't far and if they'd followed me, they likely would have attacked already. I will rest a moment (Short rest?), and abide by your decision."

There are lots of trees, bushes and boulders that can be used for cover, and a nice clearing that would make a good spot for camp.
Satisfied that if need be they can find a place to hold off attacks Omen turns his attention back to Baeshra.
"Do you recall how many goblins there are in the cave? he asks. "You also said something about something else being in the cave, what was it?
Omen looks to the group.
"We can go if you wish, but I think we need more information about what we face." he says to them.
"Once we find out we will take a vote on what course of action we take though" Omen pauses, "Goblin raiders did this" his attention turns to the scene they have found. "And I feel we should deal with them and end their raiding on these lands."
Omen pauses to hear what his companions have to say and also to hear if anything is moving in the forest around them.
"If these goblins have recently been in battle, then we have the advantage, as they are not yet aware of us. We should strike immediately and put the fear of death back into the filthy creatures."
Black energy begins to coalesce and drift away from the tip of Umbriel's spear, and he turns to Baeshra.
"If we stop to rest, it gives them time to visit unimaginable torments to your companions. Can you forgo the rest and help us exact vengeance?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"I'm fairly certain my companions are now dead, possibly taken prisoner. There are at least a dozen goblins, I think a half dozen wolves, plus a larger leader creature that I did not get a good look at. They out number us at least 3 to 1. If you are determined to go now, I will follow and support as best I can, but that isn't much." Baeshra says without much enthusiasm.
Cautiously Omen says: "It is decided then." he states. "We go to the rescue of these folk."
Turning to the lizardman Omen will say: "Lead the way Baeshra but, when we get fairly close we need to stop and prepare."
Omen turns the party. "I would suggest military tactics as opposed to close melee. Ranged volley's first and as long as we can then let them close." he says.
"During the volley focus on 1 or 2 targets at a time. The more ranged attacks on them the closer we get to taking them down. If we get the opportunity we might be able to get them as they pile out of the cave, create a fatal funnel to get the best results."

Alright, you prepare yourselves for a night hike and start walking. What's your marching order, and what are the non-darkvision people doing to see the trail?
Yes, it's about a five mile trail, it will take 3-4 hours in the dark.
(Omen will take 2nd or 3rd in the marching order...assuming Baeshra is first to play guide.)
"3 to 4 hours" Omen mulls this over in his mind. "Poor souls stumbled right into their own deaths."
"Baeshra, how many wolves are there?" Omen asks.
As the party continues Omen will say: "On the farm we had a couple years of wolves being around. They were after the baby goats that had been born in the spring. Iona was besides herself when one the the kids-baby goats mind you, went missing. I and a couple of the other farmers had to put an end to the pack finally. There had been an attack on one of the local girls and folks were pretty scared for a while." Omen tells his story almost as if he is reviewing it in his mind.
"Odd thing" he continues "Every once in a while you'd hear the howl of a lone wolf in the distance."
Omen
Omen's first reaction is to take a defensive stance with his quarterstaff. "Lizardman" he will exclaim.
Upon hearing Baeshra's statement he will says: "Goblins? Goblins did this?" he asks. "Do you know what happened here?"
Kume Loren
Kume span about startled pointing his blade at the scaled figure.
" Friend or Foe! Friend or Foe?!", he said in perhaps a slightly higher pitch than normal.
"It seems like goblins". Whistler cranes his neck to look at the Lizardman, eye to... thigh. "Are you Goblin?" He asks whilst tilting his head side to side, staring eye to thigh.

Kume Loren
Kume looked worried and slightly panicked, " We should go now! They may be injured or worse!"
" Mr Omen, Sir? Should we not go now? "
" Small ones? Shall we not help?"
Twisting his head side to side, Whistler answers, "Go now" Flexing his entire body, preparing to become the perfect vessel of Kenku rage.

Baeshra would use produce flame to see, and would be second or third in line, refusing to take lead. On the way, he’d describe the layout of the cave.
