Very nice, you find a few places in the tunnel where stashes of support beams are piled, and manage to throw them about, potentially slowing down pursuit.
When the moment presents itself, Umbriel will convert his last spell slot into a sorcery point. He'll then use his Eyes of the Dark feature and cast Darkness on a point along the group's escape route where it will benefit us by either concealing our route or hiding something detrimental to the fire giant's pursuit (obstacles, traps, narrow ledges, etc).
Both Nyx and Baeshra are able to backtrack their route with no issues for this first part of the retreat. Nyx does indeed pull start pulling ahead with her bonus action dashes, while Lyngheid and some of the dwarves take advantage of a few loose timbers and debris and Umbriel casts his Darkness spell.
The constant running and adrenaline is beginning to catch up with Ireniana though, and she takes a point of exhaustion.
Now for the next part of the journey:
- We need another Survival check from Nyx, and from 1 other person (Baeshra can repeat it if he wants to continue leading the group through tunnels. - At least two more methods to either impede pursuit or help you go faster, Lyngheid and Umbriel can't do the same thing they did before. - Another Con Save from everyone.
Droop looks at Baeshra, not understanding for a moment, and then nods and spins around, pointing the spider staff and filling the cavern with two blasts of spider webbing!

Umbriel has a sudden, desperate idea. He summons his Mage Hand and places the three ball bearings he has into it. He drifts toward the back of the group, and lets the Hand float 30 feet behind them. If he hears pursuit closing in, he will make the Mage Hand flick a ball bearing in an opposite direction to throw off pursuers.
Nyx isn't showing any signs of getting tired, she must be spurred on by the impending danger! But, after thinking while running, she is estimating that she should be close to the surface by now, but so far can see no sign of the final curved staircase up to the top.
Baeshra is also thinking that they should be getting close to the surface.
Umbriel prepares his mage hand with marbles, getting a distraction ready if needed and Whistler spills some oil behind them, hoping to slow down pursuit. Investigation check to find the best spot for the oil: 6.
Whistler seems to think it's a good spot, but most of the oil runs down a small depression and against the tunnel wall. Droop sees this and casts another wall of spider webs right in front of the oil, hoping that any pursuers will burst through and then slip on the oil.
Ireniana, Whistler and Lyngheid all take another point of exhaustion.
Alright, everyone is up for the next round. Make another Constitution Save, Survival checks for Nyx and Baeshra, and anything else that you want to do to speed up the party and/or slow down pursuers.
Also, a Perception check for any signs of pursuit from Umbriel.
