Baeshra returns to the others, "Big ship at the dock, probably how they got here. If we had time to rest, I might be able to go sink the ship, if not, maybe try to burn it?
Umbriel thinks about it. "If we're going to act, we should do so quickly. I can still cast a few helpful spells - for example, if there's a sealed hatch near the waterline, I can Reduce it and create a hole, or I can try to Shatter a portion of the hull. I can even transmute the poisonous aspect of my Ray into a fire beam, and that can help, too - what do you think?"

Make an Investigation check if you are looking for such a hatch.

He listens to what Lyngheid says, though. "Maybe capturing it would be easier, and garner us more favor. Let's see what Baeshra can discern from the water, first though?"
Baeshra will slip into the water to quietly swim around, looking for either a way to sink it, or to identify how many are left on board.

The longship seems fairly solid as far as you can tell from the waterline. You don't see any hatches in or near the water, or other methods of sinking the ship. You do find a long stretch of cargo netting draped over the side that could be used to climb from the water up into the ship.

It's hard to see through the fog, but nothing immediate jumps out at you as a portal or hatch that could be used to sink the ship.
Baeshra sneakily climbs up the cargo net and peeks over the gunnel. You see two larger than normal wolves patrolling the deck and a single Frost Giant sitting on a bench towards the center of the vessel.
Umbriel thinks about the news. "First, we need to make it more difficult for them to leave the ship. That means disposing of the gangway, which I can do by reducing it in size until it falls in the water. If we cut any lines tying it to the pier, the occupants will have a harder time disembarking while we figure out a way to sink it."

" Though a gift of a ship might make the Storm Giants happier...."
Make an Investigation check if you are looking for such a hatch.
Also, everyone make another Stealth check.

" While we are waiting, sing out if you need more healing."
Could he hear or see anything to determine how many were left?
You didn't hear or see any creatures from the waterline. Do you want to climb the cargo net to get a look at the deck of the ship?
Very carefully, yes.
OK, make another Stealth and Perception check.

Baeshra returns to the others, "Two wolves and a giant on deck, possibly more below. I still say sink the ship."
