You don't sense anything else moving in the cavern. You do see a pouch on the Bugbear leaders belt, and his eye patch looks like it has some semiprecious stones set in it.
Whistler scores a solid hit on the dead Bugbear, carving off a big chunk of the corpse. The pouch on the bugbears belt splits open and a handful of coins spill out (3 GP and 38 silver pieces) along with a big iron key.
Umbriel will walk back into the room with the goblin in it.
"Mosk is dead. So are his three furry friends. If you want to live, you'll answer my questions. Otherwise..." Umbriel will slam the end of his spear into the ground, and (from a safe enough distance where he won't hit anything or anyone) cast Sword Burst for dramatic effect. As the spectral blades swirl around him, Umbriel will stare ominously at the goblin. Intimidation: 9
"First, I understand that you're part of the Cragmaw tribe. You will tell us where Cragmaw Castle is. Second, I want to know everything you know about the Black Spider and Wave Echo Cave. Third, I want you to tell me if there are any traps or other creatures across the chasm."
"A final warning, wretch. I will know if you are lying. I will let you live, and leave this place peacefully if you answer my questions truthfully. I will make the remaining days of your existence a living hell if you lie to me or if you omit anything of consequence."
"Don't hurt poor Droop! Please! Nasty bugbears tormented poor Droop! Droop can help you, yes?"
"Droop doesn't remember the route to Cragmaw Castle, but it is up north, in the forest, yes! Droop is very helpful, yes! Cragmaw goblins patrol around Phandalin, you mighty warriors might be able to capture a patrol to learn the answers, yes!"
"Droop will show you all around, there are secret doors and traps throughout here, Droop can help, yes?!?"
The goblin seems very eager to prove himself useful.
Umbriel will escort Droop into the hallway and present him to the group.
"This is Droop. He is very eager to assist us. Would someone like to search in there, just to make sure we didn't miss anything important?" Umbriel will motion back to the room the bugbears came from.
Lynheid held up the book and showed it to Umbriel.
" You mentioned Wave Echo Cave earlier. This book also mentions it."
" I'm quite concerned that my cousin is still missing and involved in all this."
" Anyway so this book says:
More than five hundred years ago, clans of dwarves and gnomes made an agreement known as the Phandelver’s Pact, by which they would share a rich mine in a wondrous cavern known as Wave Echo Cave. In addition to its mineral wealth, the mine contained great magical power. Human spellcasters allied themselves with the dwarves and gnomes to channel and bind that energy into a great forge (called the Forge of Spells), where magic items could be crafted. Times were good, and the nearby human town of Phandalin prospered as well. But then disaster struck when orcs swept through the North and laid waste to all in their path.
A powerful force of orcs reinforced by evil mercenary wizards attacked Wave Echo Cave to seize its riches and magic treasures. Human wizards fought alongside their dwarf and gnome allies to defend the Forge of Spells, and the ensuing spell battle destroyed much of the cavern. Few survived the cave-ins and tremors, and the location of Wave Echo Cave was lost.
Theres also mention of a magic mace named Lightbringer that was commissioned by priests of Lathander, the god of dawn, from the mages working with the gnomes and dwarves of the Phandelver’s Pact. The mace was lost when Wave Echo Cave and its mine vanished from history."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Whistler pokes around the bugbears' bodies to find anything useful such as coin and other trinkets. He pockets the coin that spilt out, thinking it was his coin that fell during his sudo-rage. Slightly confused to why his coin purse is now slightly heavier than before.
Investigation: 16
He then turns around to Lyngheid, hearing about the missing cousin.
"Cousin, not dead Lyngheid Dwarf." comforts Whistler, offering his beloved firewater.

Whistler noticing that the Bugbear he was attacking stopped moving looks behind him.

The goblin startles awake.
"Don't hurt poor Droop! Please! Nasty bugbears tormented poor Droop! Droop can help you, yes?"

The goblin seems very eager to prove himself useful.
Ireniana nods, glancing at Droop. "I say we let Droop help. But if he slips up, we'll gut him."

"Was there anything of use on the bugbears?"
Droop gulps then tries to smile sweetly at Ireniana, but there are a lot of teeth. "Droop big help, yes! Droop will not slip!"
Lynheid held up the book and showed it to Umbriel.

Whistler finds the jeweled eyepatch and the iron key.
Baeshra: "Let's hurry and clear the building before getting ahead of ourselves."
Umbriel nods. "Agreed, Baeshra. Is everyone ready to see what lies across the crevasse?"
Lyngheid nodded, " Thanks Whistler."
" Lets go make this place safe for the bats and rats again."
