(OOC: I liked the twist - I started piecing it together after we cleared out the hideout with no sign of Iarno, but I don't think Umbriel caught on until after Sildar asked to see Glasstaff's body. Nice one!)
Umbriel nods. "I am sorry for the loss of your friend. Betrayal is a vicious wound to bear." To the group, Umbriel says "We should at the very least check in with Halia Thornton. After that, I bow to the will of the group."
Quickly dividing the coin once they leave Sildar's immediate presence, Umbriel distributes 50gp to each member of the party.
"Most of them are rotting," Umbriel says. "We cleaned out their hideout, the few that remain at the Sleeping Giant Inn should disperse when they see that their leaders have been dealt with, their prisoners freed, their weapons cache taken, and their lair plundered thoroughly. One survived, we took him prisoner and turned him over to the Townmaster and the Lord's Alliance for further questioning."
Umbriel takes a good long look at Halia. "The Redbrands were kidnapping people and selling them into slavery. You may not agree with our methods, but by eliminating their threat we have made the region a safer place. Slavery anywhere is a blight on freedom everywhere. Thank you for the payment. I need nothing here."
Umbriel walks out of the Miner's Outpost and starts making change. 16gp 6sp 6cp for each, with 4 cp left over that he gives to Droop. "Thank you for helping me carry that body earlier. Where did you say those goblin patrols of your tribe frequent?"
Halia replies dismissively, "Yes, yes, of course. You have done the community a great service. Come back when you need more equipment."
Droop eagerly takes the copper pieces: "Thank you! Droop is a big help, yes! Goblin patrols are in the woods in the area, yes! Droop will stay with you. We can have another breakfast?"
The party stops by the Lionshield Coster where the familiar face of Linene greets you. "Hello! Welcome back! Do you need some weapons and armor? Because you took such good care of me finding my lost shipment and bringing it back, I'll give you a 5% discount on everything in the store!"
The party also goes to Barthen's Provisions, where Barthen sells adventuring gear less than 25 GP except weapons and armor. "There you are! I heard you cleaned out the Redbrands, nice job! What can I do you for this morning?"
Baeshra also had that mercury, dragon bile, and powdered nightshade 25 gold each, I’m assuming he’d have sold it at the same time he purchased the remaining ingredients for the healing potion. (Do we want to divy it out as well or start a party fund with it?) Other than that, Baeshra is just making that potion today.
Whistler asks Baeshra, Not Goblin to place his old Greatsword on the counter to sell.
"I want to... *clinking coin noises*" he mimics whilst looking around for some healing potions and a few ration packs. If Baeshra, Not Goblin wants to purchase supplies for potions, Whistler eagerly digs in deep to contribute to his favourite Spider Mount.

At the Coster, Umbriel will remove his leather armor, and place it and his spear upon the counter. "I'd be interested in selling these items. If you have any interesting unguents or potions, I'd be keen to peruse your wares."
(DM - my intentions are in the spoiler below:)
Since he's attuned to the staff, Umbriel will now go armorless and just keep using the staff to cast Mage Armor three times a day, as well as carrying it in his off hand for the +1 AC bonus, if you're alright with that.
Whistler looks around for Baeshra for a moment before remembering that Baeshra is brewing up a potion in his room back at the Inn.
Linene looks at Whistler's old Greatsword. "That is a fine specimen, not too badly used. I'll give you 30 gold for it! Do you need any weapons, armor, ammo, that sort of thing?"
She looks over Umbriel's leather armor and spear as well. "Very nice, also lightly used. I'll give you 6 gold for both. I don't have any potions or ungents though. Just weapons and armor and ammo."
Over at Barthen's provisions, Whistler finds rations and most other basic adventuring gear, although no potions.

" To Halia then."
At The Miner's Exchange, you show the letter to Halia. She reads it eagerly.
"Well this is certainly interesting. Just what I wanted in fact. And how about the Redbrands, what are they doing without a leader now?"
"Most of them are rotting," Umbriel says. "I see."

She seems disappointed at the news that most of the Redbrands are dead.
"Very well, here is your 100 gold as we discussed. Do you need any supplies from me today?"

Whistler peers deeply into Halia. He expected a different answer from her considering the Redbrands were making the townfolks' lives a misery.
Insight: 13
Maybe he just imagined it as he goes back to showing every party member his new Greatsword, again...

OOC:
Buy what you want at the prices shown here https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/basic-rules/equipment#AdventuringGear, but Barthen doesn't have any items that cost more than 25 Gold. Let me know if you buy anything, or want to negotiate a discount.
When done with weapons, armor and adventuring supplies, where does the party want to go next? It is still before lunch time.
Sounds good to me!
"Hello! I'd like to sell this, please." Rosie hoists her leather armor up on the counter. "Oh, this too." She adds the mace.
OOC: I have some loot to split up too. I'll do that in the morning.

"Wow, lot's of armor and weapons being traded in! I'll give you 3 gold for the Mace and 6 gold for the leather armor."
