Salem agreed with Sanjay and Thistle.

You all trek back to the Jolly Dwarf as it grows steadily later.  You can hear creatures moving in the trees and the never ending crunch of the snow.  The darker it gets the colder it gets, and the tips of your ears and noses begin to feel numb.

Sanjay is going to make sure to light everyone's torches so that they can keep the warmth near their faces while they make their way back to town. 

Senine nods her thanks to Sanjay, trudging on through the cold silently.

After a long, quiet walk, you end up at the front door of the Jolly Dwarf.  It's getting later, well past dinner time, but inside you hear laughter and talk, and smell the aroma of supper and spirits.

Senine opens the door, taking a quick look around(perception: 12 ), before making her way to the bar. "Bottle of Fire Water please."

Clearly Fire Water is the only thing on Senine's mind as she burst through the doors, leaving the others in her wake.

Good-natured Arl Bortock looks over from the bar he just stepped behind and smiles quizzically.  " 'fraid we don't have anything by that name, but we do have a good, fiery rum that'll hold you through."

"Sorry, it's called Whiskey, but if you a'int got it, the Rum'll do." Senine says, digging her coin purse out.

"Ah, well now I have heard of Whiskey," Arl replies.  "You wanta' mug?"

"Bottle, actually." Senine gave the flask at her hip a pat. "Need a re-fill, and a nightcap."

Arl chuckles, "Alrigh', good then.  1 sp for a bottle, that'll be."

As Senine is talking with Arl, the rest of you are standing there shaking your heads a bit.  What looks to be a family is sitting at one of the tables, consisting of a human man and his husband holding hands and two young tiefling girls.  As they giggle a bit at the exchange, knowing Arl is giving Senine a little bit of a hard time, one of the men wave you over.

"Hey there, would you folks like to join us for a meal?  You look mighty cold."

"Sure! And yes, I'm extremely cold!" Thistle goes to sit by them. "So are you folks from here?"

Senine catches the exchange as she pays for her booze, and moves to sit at the table as well, nodding her thanks at the couple, smiling as best as someone with tusks can, happy to let Thistle do the talking.

Sanjay follows over to the table. "Thank you for the invite," he says, smiling a bit. "How are you folks doing this evening?"

"Oh, not too bad.  Just enjoying a good meal.  Ol' Arl is a funny one." says the human who invited them over.

"I'm Irven Liel, and this is my husband Fenton Tethwick," he says, looking at the man next to him.  "And these two sweet gals are our girls, Honor and Magic." The two tiefling girls turn to you all and smile shyly.

Fenton speaks up, "If you all are interested in any books, we've got plenty for sale. That's what we do," he ends with a smile.

Senine's ears twitch as the man speaks his name. She carefully finishes re-filling her flask, putting it back in its place before giving the family her full attention, looking them over for any signs of the Frozen Woe.

"You wouldn't happen to have any books on cures for magical illnesses would you," Sanjay asks.

Thistle, in her excitement at hearing about books blurted out "Anything about ancient Aeorian artifacts?" She paused a moment. "Wait, did you say your name was Irven?"
