Yeet or Be Yeeted (Campaign Thread)

Salem runs in and grabs her dagger, aiming it at Elf 1, "What are you here for?"

... It is now Senine's turn!

Senine rushes the Elf in front of her, raising her shield high as though to bash the Elf as a feint, but swinging low with her morningstar, looking to take her target out at the knee and keep them from attempting an escape.(Non-lethal (Attack: 25 Damage: 8 ))

((lol You can try to be non-lethal all you want... but if you swing hard enough...))

Senine comes in with such force and surprise that she knocks the elf off her feet.  Elf Bandit 1 is badly injured, and prone.

The Elves turn!

Having been knocked down so hard, Elf Bandit 1 struggles to reply to any of you.  Instead, she ((uses her action to)) takes a deep breath and stands back up shakily, looking angrily at you all.

Elf Bandit 2 struggles against the vines restraining him, eager to fight back.  Strength check: 8

We are back to Sanjay!

Sanjay rushes up to Elf Bandit 2, since it just broke free and, and growling he casts Primal Savagery on himself enlarging his fingernails into jungle cat-like acidic claws, and he slashes at the bandit:

• Attack: 21 Damage: 13 acid damage - whether it succeeds or fails, when the attack is over, the claws retract back to normal.

Sanjay's cat-like strength is too much, and in a single slash, she strikes the elf down.  Elf Bandit 2 dies immediately.

Elf Bandit 1 having just witnessed her companion die, drops her weapons and raises her hands up.  "Please, please spare me," she begins to sob.

"Sit down, and keep your hands up." Senine orders them, kicking their dropped weapon away, but keeping her weapon and shield ready. "What were you trying to steal, and what have you done with the proprieters?"

Sanjay just growls at the living elf when Senine finishes asking her question. 

Intimidation: 14

The Elf Bandit flinches as Sanjay growls, and says, "We were looking for a particular potion.  Something for our boss."  She says a little hesitantly, "The owner's a goner.  Not by us! In that room back there, you can see.  She's in the bed," she turns one hand slightly toward the room in the back that Sanjay had burst into.

Senine looks toward the room, a sense of unease striking her. She looks at Sanjay, gesturing toward the elf, "Watch her." She walks to the room, still cautious, and slowly enters, taking a look around. (Perception:4 )

As Senine walks into the back room, it is obviously the quarters of Verla Pelc.  There is a small table loaded with dirty teacups and a kettle standing next to a bed along the east wall of the room.  What appears to be an ice statue of an elf is bundled beneath the blankets.  It can be none other than Verla Pelc herself.

Senine grimaces, her shoulders falling a bit. She moves a little closer, and says quietly, "If I thought the gods gave a damn, I'd say a prayer for you. I'm sorry you were alone." She sighs, pulling her flask out and taking a drink. She glances around the room once more before squaring her shoulders again, and walks back out to the main room. "She's gone. Frozen Woe, looks like. Tulgi mentioned stealing the stuff from here. Looks like the owner made contact with it before hand." Senine walks in front of the robber, looking her up and down. "I'm going to ask you some questions. You're going to answer them. Understood?"

"Yes... please let me leave." says the Bandit.

"What potion were you looking for, and who is this 'boss' that asked for it?" Senine asks, looking them in the eye.

Thistle sees that Sanjay and Senine seem to have the questioning under control. At barely three feet tall, she knows that she is not very intimidating. She replaces her bow but keeps one hand on the hilt of a dagger just in case. She decides to look around the shop to see if she can determine what may be missing or if there are any items that seem to stand out that could be of interest to thieves. ((Also, Thistle is still keeping an eye out for Tinker Tools so that she can craft her things.))

Investigation: 25

The Elf Bandit looks up at Senine, and says "I honestly don't know... any potion that has healing properties that we hadn't already tried.  You saw that woman in there?  She has the same problem my employer suspects she has."  She eyes Sanjay.  "Hulil Lutan is who I work for," she ends grudgingly.

Thistle looks around the shop, and notices items all over the floor.  Most of it is broken and useless, but as she searches she notices a couple of swords still intact, some untouched potions lying about, and a scroll rolled up lying partially obscured by a box.

"You would think that Hulil would show some more gratitude since we let her go with her life," Sanjay says, angrily, feeling like a good deed that he has done has been returned with malfeasance. 

"Criminals. All the same. No care for anything but their own lives." Senine sneers, pulling out her rope and tying the elf up, then picking her up and throwing her over her shoulder. "I'm taking you to Elro, let him sort you out." Looking around at the others, especially Thistle as she looks around. "None of this belongs to us. I don't know how they do things around here, but if Ms. Pelc has family, this is theirs. No taking anything." With that she walks out, carrying the Elf back toward Elro's home.
