Sanjay looks so confused and curious about what Thistle just said, she decides to explain a little history to the table.

"...and so during the Age of Arcanum, there were approximately three major cities that had hoarded enough brumestone to utilize to be able to hold their entire cities aloft. One of these floating cities crashed in Eiselcross in the Biting North - you know, pretty much where we're at, and the Dwendalian Empire is currently excavating what they can of that fallen empire, referred to as Aeor.  So... maybe she got it from there?"

Thinking about what he just heard, Sanjay wonders aloud, "But what does a formerly floating city have to do with a frozen curse or disease?"

"Jus' as a guess," Senine says, a slight slur to her voice, swishing the now mostly empty bottle in consideration, "If they 'ad enough magic rocks to fly the city, maybe they 'ad other magic, like curses, or what 'av you." She finishes the thought, and then the bottle, before shrugging a bit.

Sanjay nods. "But, does this dagger have anything to do with that? Where do we want to start tomorrow to find more answers? Should we start by going to Croaker's Cave, or Urgon's house? Someone must know something. Did Urgon go up north by himself, or did he have a team?"

Senine shrugs again, standing up. "He sold'em to Pelc's, if the thief's ta be believed. We can ask there," she rolled her neck around popping a couple vertebrae, "or we can go an' prolly kill some frogs looking for the thief's sister, it's up to you folk. I'll be right back." She begins walking toward the bar in pursuit of another bottle, her gait steady despite the slur to her words.

Sanjay just watches her walk away to make sure she makes it to where she's going without falling over. Seeing that she's stay, he says, "I do think that Croaker's Cave might be our best starting point."

"I agree that the cave would be a good place to start. Tulgi said she gave Hulil some of the treasures she stole from Eiselcross, right? And she hadn't seen Hulil in a while? Maybe there's a secret stash of cursed, Aeorian artifacts hidden away in there. Or for all we know, she's frozen solid like poor Urgon in that cave. Or maybe it's both!" Thistle pauses and also watches Senine stumble towards the bar. "You gonna be ok over there?" she calls out to Senine. 

Senine, standing at the bar waiting for her liquor, throws a thumbs up into the air without looking back.

The night dwindles on, and you all eventually head to bed; the barman sending up a bucket of drinking water to Senine's room.

It is now about 0630 in the morning, and you'd all decided to head to Croaker Cave.

Sanjay would start his day a little bit before most. He'll spend some time meditating outside, acclimating to the cold, and just feeling the ebb and flow of the natural world in this alien landscape. Once 6:30am rolls around, he would go back inside to get a hearty breakfast (if the inn is open for breakfast). 

Then, he would just wait for the others to come down and join him.

Thistle will have also been up earlier and people watching from her room window as the townsfolk go about their morning routines. She goes downstairs, spots Sanjay and joins him at his table.

Senine, habitually awake at 0600 each day, will have made her way down as well for some bacon, eggs, and some hair of the dog coffee. She’s sitting quietly in the corner of the dining area, armor and equipment in place, glowering at her food as she eats.

"Good morning," Sanjay says to both Senine and Thistle as they join him. "The air here is so crisp and I don't think I've seen or heard a single insect outside of the spiders that take shelter indoors since I got here."

Salem and Faineant have both now dragged themselves from their rooms, clearly in need of coffee, to join the rest of you.  A maid quickly drops off two large mugs next to them and pours out the dark, steaming contents of her percolator, says "Food'll be out til 0730," then runs off again.

There's a table set out for those staying at the inn with thick bacon made of some meat you don't recognize, eggs, oats, breads, and cheese.

You all know that the barman said Croaker Cave was due north, and he mentioned giant ice frogs.

Sanjay will eat the eggs, oats, bread, and cheese. When everyone else is ready to go, he'll be ready as well.

"So," Senine says, surreptitiously tipping some of the liquid in her flask into her coffee, taking a sip, "We're heading to the cave, right? What intel do we have on it besides it being fulla large, chilly toads?"

"Not a lot," Sanjay says. "We should be prepared for danger, though, both from the frogs and from Hulil, based on what Tulgi said. With these temperatures, it's cold."

Thistle spends some moments in intense concentration, taking a bowl of oats, bacon and eggs and arranging everything into a smiley face before eating. "I don't know much either," she admits after a while. "But I think not knowing is half the fun! Just think of the possibilities of what can be discovered!"  A dreamy smile spreads over her face as the siren call of even a mere chance of discovering ancient artifacts sings to her and her imagination runs rampant. 

Now that everyone has had breakfast, you decide to head out.  This is your last chance if you want to stop anywhere else before going to Croaker Cave.

((I think Sanjay would be fine to head out. I can't think of any gear he would want/need that he wouldn't have had with him on his cross-continent journey thus far, especially at his level.))
