Horatio Hirschfeld - Squire imbued with fae powers, in the Coliseum of Conquest (W2/L1) DM for Reavers of Harkenwold, and sometimes The Fighting Grounds of the Coliseum
Yed will use all his movement to get as close as he can to the escaping wizard. If he gets close enough to launch an attack with his javelin, Yed will swiftly launch it at the wizard’s back. However if he is able to get close enough for a melee attack Yed will pull his Warhammer from his back and move to deliver a mighty two handed swing to the spellcaster. And if all his movement cannot get him into range for any type of attack, he will use all his movement and a dash action to attempt to get near Doc, and help block off the wizards escape route.
Yed delivers a devastating blow with his warhammer, swinging around the door to hit the wizard.
(OOC: I try to avoid superfluous rolls, so I always use the first roll of that type. In this case, Yed's first attack roll was a crit, so that's what I'm using. He dealt a total of 14 damage.)
(Shamash, Evzeen.)

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Shamash shakes his head vaguely as the effects wear off (OOC: right? he failed his concentration?), snapping back to attention, he sprints through the room to get next to the magician and attacks two handed with his longsword.
Shamash, freed from the constraints of the spell, runs after the wizard and stabs his sword right at the wizard's heart. The mage raises his glass staff and a shimmering barrier appears around him, stopping Shamash's attack.

Doc knocks the wizard on the head and the man crumples to the ground.

"Well..." Doc says as he temporarily sheathes his weapons, composing himself and examining the unconscious man. "I'd say this might be Sildar's missing wizard friend... If so, he likely has a lot for which to answer."

(Yed would like to give the help action to anybody who will give an Investigation of the man and his things. Giving them advantage on the roll correct?)
Doc, with Yed's help, finds several interesting things in the rooms.
Firstly, you find three glass bottles on the desk. They are labelled as mercury, dragon bile and powdered nightshade.
Various papers and notes are stacked neatly on the desk, mostly consisting of Iarno’s written orders to apothecaries and alchemists in nearby settlements for more materials for his workshop. You also find a letter signed with the symbol of a spider.
At the foot of Iarno’s bed is a sturdy, unlocked wooden chest. It contains 180 silver coins, 130 gold coins, and a silk pouch containing five carnelians, two peridots, and one pearl. It also contains two magic scrolls. Evzeen, thanks to her familiarity with arcane magic, determines that they are a scroll of charm person and a scroll of fireball.
The mage's glass staff seems to be liquid on the inside, so that it diverts light passing through it in strange and unexpected ways.
