There is a central market of Feolinn, and it sticks to the city's theme of gardens; the marketplace itself is a large circular area surrounded by trees, and rings of potted plants and flowers divide the concentric circles of traders. Stalls are colourful and similarly bedecked with flowers and climbing plants. You see workers wearing official uniforms moving around, watering and tending to the plants - the appearance of market seems to be something the Marquis takes very seriously. It's busy, but not overcrowded, and the noise of people bargain and otherwise conversing is a pleasant background hum.
You find a stall manned by a tiefling man and selling various goods for the traveller, including trail rations - small packs of meat and dried fruits that will last on the road. They cost five silver per day's rations, or four gold for ten days' worth. You can also get most other adventuring gear there or nearby. What would you like to buy?
(OOC: Silent will spend 4 gold for 10 days' worth of rations. He'll also keep an eye out for some javelins, hoping to buy a bundle and ideally haggling for a discount)
Silent still has the spear he purchased in Port Damali, so he'll show it to the vendor.Barely seen any action, fresh off the anvil. If I trade this in, how much for a dozen javelins?
The half-elf at the weapon stall takes the spear and sniffs. Port Damali make, I see. Decent enough. Rather... plain. But acceptable. Twelve javelins for the spear and four gold.
You can add 12 javelins to you inventory. They're quite heavy and cumbersome; with time you can attach straps or something so that you can pull them easily from your backpack.
(OOC: Sounds good. At the moment Silent has two handaxes and a rapier worn at his belt with the greatsword strapped to his back. Still unencumbered but yeah, when he gets some time he'll try to rig something up with the javelins with the equipment he currently has.)
Picked myself up some weapons and some food, should last us a decent while on the road. Reckon I'll hole up in our quarters until sundown - I'm guessing we'll split up at that point?
Silent will start heading back to the inn, where he'll do some meditating and experience waves of anxiety at the prospect of playing music for an audience.
You return to the Lyrical Star, at the agreed time. It's clear that the shop is closed, but as you approach the door opens to allow you to enter, and a young woman smiles and greets you. Master Silent, is that right? Aunt Doteya didn't say how handsome you are, and she laughs and points to a back door in the shop. The event will be in the room through there. Several of the guests have arrived already. I wish you all the best with your performance. And your friend, too. Welcome, do come in.
Silent blushes a deep purple, stammers his thanks and heads in. Say Magnum - the beats might be a little much for this crowd but you reckon you can help me with some lights while you're here? Showmanship and all that, right?

(OOC: Sweet. I can summon a familiar once I have the proper materials.)
Magnum suggests heading to any market the town might have to buy non-perishable goods as rations.
Yep, let's see if we can find ourselves a bargain or two.

Javelins are 5 silver each, and unlikely to get a discount unless you're buying a dozen or more. But they're easy to find in the market.

Silent pays up.

Cool. So, what are you doing next?
(OOC: Magnum has proficiency leatherworkers tools if that can help with rigging some sort of quiver.)
(OOC: Magnum are you planning on buying spell components or anything? Silent doesn't have anything else to take care of)
(OOC: No. The only spell components I might want I can't afford. Besides, I don't need them at the moment.)

You spend a relaxing afternoon in the common room of the inn. You will need to purchase another night, of course.
It's about an hour before sunset, time for Silent to set off if he is to arrive before sunset as Dtoeya Arrac requested. Is Magnum going with him?
Magnum accompanies Silent, intending to leave in time for his fight.
