Alton shrugs, "Maybe, but it looks like you don't. Who's interested in the adventures of a halfling anyway?" He stares down the half-elf his eyes narrowing and drops his voice lower, "We were told to find out what was causing trouble on the road and deal with it, but nobody said we had to bring back the culprit in one piece. I'm sure my friends here wouldn't mind breaking a few bones, and just in case you are a wizard of some sort they can start at your fingers and hands. I suggest you spill everything if you'd like to stay in one piece."

Alton, your words get a response, one of fear and hatred, and the half-elf struggles again with his restraints:

Though it is futile, and he remains firmly bound. He screams with frustration, raising his eyes to the broken ceiling of the tower and the sky beyond. It is here! It is here! Send all your power against this thief! Reclaim what is yours! Drive him mad with pain! End him! End them all!
His ramblings continue on, in the same vein. He seems barely aware of you any more, and you see signs of madness in his behaviour.
Silent looks to Alton with some surprise (I don't think he's ever seen him threaten someone like that before) before returning his glance to the screaming wizard. Now, I ain't no expert but I'm starting to think this guy ain't the big boss here. Might be his rank and the giant's weren't too different. He's got the red eyes, after all. Maybe we knock him out, carry him back to Bladegarden?
Trying one last approach, he leans in closer to the wizard and loudly says over his screams, Seekers of Shadow mean anything to you, mate?

Alton give Silent a shrug, "Or we can take him to Felderwin. I think either direction is about the same travel time. Maybe they get a cleric or someone to take a look a the red eyes there." He waits a moment to see if anything happens, "We should finish looking around anyway. Maybe we can find a bag to carry all of these books and stuff."
Perception: 8 to hear if anything is coming their way. (Forgot to add the +5 to the roll, so it would be 17 in total)
Right, let's do a final sweep.Silent replaces the gag on the wizard's mouth. Sorry mate, just for your own good. Gonna scream yourself hoarse if you ain't careful and we don't want any beasties finding us here.
He'll Help Alton with any further investigations of the place (I'm guessing we're going down the trapdoor next).
Balassar just looks around as he grabs the back of the half-elfs collar and lifts him onto his feet. His sword still drawn and the point sticking into the half-elf's side "You all take a look, I'll keep a watch on him."
"Alright, yell for us if something happens." Alton gives Balassar a nod and makes his way over to the trapdoor, "Well, lets see what's below this tower."

Alton, you open the trapdoor; it's big, but not too heavy and the hinges seem well-maintained. Down below, you see a large basement with six huge straw pallets that you would assume are a place for the giants to sleep. There don't appear to be any occupants at the moment, though you cannot see the entirety of the room from where you stand. There's no stairs or other means to descend.
Alton, you see six pallets, and a pile of refuse in the corner. The place stinks - it's clearly been the abode of several hill giants, not just the one you fought today. With only a minute, you don't have time to search thoroughly, so aside from a few gnawed animal bones, you don't find anything of note.
Alton looks up from the bottom at Silent, "Well it sure does stink down here and it looks like it was where those hill giants stayed; but not much else of note. What do you think? Should we do just a once over to make sure?"

Silent calls down and says, If I were a wizard, reckon I wouldn't hide my valuables where a giant could accidentally sit on 'em. But if you reckon you can find somethin', go for it. I'll hold the rope here.
Reckon we should get this guy(Silent gestures at the wizard)into a cell first. We can always come back to poke around. Maybe once he's had some time to think he'll be more cooperative and tell us where to look.
Balassar just nods in agreement "Might be best to get him to the right authorities. If we are luckily they may pay us extra for getting him back alive."

Nothing at all, the half-elf replies.

Silent will let down his rope and hold it to allow Alton climb down, if he still wants to investigate.
Alton will slide down the rope and look around for a minute.

What would you like to do?
(I'm assuming Alton is giving the giant den the once-over but once he's done with that Silent is ready to truss up the wizard and leave the tower)
(Sorry, I had a busy weekend.)
Alton nods, "Yeah, your probably right." He climbs back up the rope to rejoin Silent and Balassar. "Is there anywhere else we haven't looked yet?"
