Balassar, you struggle to keep the horse under control. It does not like its new passenger. Not at all. Twice in the first hour of travel, you have to come to a halt to calm the horse down.
Alton, you are a little distracted by this, but not enough to miss the distant thumping of large running feet that are chasing you. Definitely giant sized, and headed your way. You probably have a minute to prepare, if you wish. The area you find yourself in is unfortunately not very conducive to hiding, though - tall grass offers some concealment, but not enough for the horses. It's hilly, enough to block line of sight with your pursuers, but not enough to make moving difficult.
Silent swears and will run over to Balassar's horse. If this bastard is calling them, we might have to destroy him before we get back to Bladegarden. He'll use his minute to remove the wizard's body from the horse while keeping it bound, and he'll lay it prone on the grass 10 feet away from the horse (ideally throwing some dirt and grass on top of it, time permitting).
"Looks like we are going to need to fight." Balassar says as he dismounts Nyx and leads her into the grass trying to get her down. After she is safe he will draw his weapon and shield getting low to the ground 15ft away from Silent.
You move the horses away, and though there isn't really any way to hide them properly, they are at least less obvious and out of the way of the approaching creatures. Your captive seems not to resist, though restrained as he is, he has little opportunity to do so.
You get in position, and shortly after you see three giant shapes come over the crest of the hill, headed right towards you, red eyes ablaze with madness or anger.
Alton dips around behind Balassar and moves to be in a spot that is between Balassar and Silent. Getting into a spot where all three giants are within 30 feet, he says, "There once where three giants who thought it wise to follow a lich. Little did they know it would be the bane of their existence." and casts bane on all three giants. "I think we might have to take out the undead guy, if he is the one doing the red eye stuff."
Movement: Moves 25 feet down to get between Balassar and Silent Action: Casts bane on all three giants, DC 14 charisma save or the target must roll a d4 and subtract the number rolled from the attack roll or saving throw.

Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
Silent will have his Echo continue its onslaught against Giant Three while he doubles back to the undead wizard and holds his own blade above it, yelling I'll kill this bastard if you don't leave off! (Not trying to technically Ready an attack, just making a threat using a free action if that's okay).
Echo's Attack25 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.

"Guys, we've got company coming up behind us; and it sounds big." Alton says glancing behind to see if he can spot what is coming.

Roll initiative please. :)

Balassar just grunts an obscenity as he realizes the hiding strategy didn’t work.
OOC:
Initiative: 13
Silent's initiative 10
Alton's Initiative: 24

Round One

Alton
Prisoner
Balassar
Giant 3
Silent
Giants 1 and 2
Alton is up. The giants are thundering towards you on a gentle downward slope, still a good distance away.
(I take it each dark square is 10 feet.)
Alton will pull out his hand crossbow and take a pop shot at one of the giants.
Action: Attack: 12 Damage: 10 piercing at Giant One.
Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
Yes, the darker lines are 10 feet across.
Alton's first bolt misses, but only just.
The prisoner remains bound and unable to move.
Balasaar is up.
Balasaar uses his Giant's Might feature to grow in size. And he readies his breath weapon for when two or more hill giants come into range.

Giant 3 runs towards the group, getting pretty close.
Silent is up.
Silent is having flashbacks to the fight in the tower, and wearily draws his sword. Get ready to run if things go south, lads.
He will manifest an Echo on the opposite side of giant three (adjacent to it) and have it slash against the giant's spine.
Echo's Attack 9 Damage: 16
He himself will run 4 squares down on the grid above.
Silent, your Echo draws its sword and slashes, but misses and almost drops the sword as it overbalances. It manages to look embarrassed.
The other two giants run up towards you.
Balasaar fires off his breath weapon on Giant 1 and Giant 3:
Giant 1 CON save: 7
Giant 4 CON save: 15
Damage 8 cold. So they each take that halved, for 3 points of cold damage.
Round Two

Alton
Prisoner
Balassar
Giant 3
Silent
Giants 1 and 2

Giant 1 CHA save: 15

Giant 2 CHA save: 18
Giant 3 CHA save: 15
Your spell takes effect on all three.
The prisoner struggles now, more than before, but ineffectively.
Balasaar is up. He's moving to attack Giant 1:
Attack: 23 Damage: 15
A quick, skilful slash with his scimitar - the giant takes a little damage.
Giant 3 strikes back at Balasaar:
Attack: 11 Damage: 16
Attack: 19 Damage: 19
One massive strike with a greatclub, and Balasaar is not looking too good.
Silent is up.
Silent will have his Echo continue its onslaught against Giant Three while he doubles back to the undead wizard and holds his own blade above it, yelling I'll kill this bastard if you don't leave off! (Not trying to technically Ready an attack, just making a threat using a free action if that's okay).
