(OOC: I think Silent would want to wait for Balassar to wake up the giants, but just to move things along, he’ll manifest an Echo and have it tickle the nose of the nearest giant, keeping himself a healthy distance away)
Alton, Ghost seems to relax a little. Still keeping his eye on the giants though.
Silent and Balassar, it takes more than a tickle or a shout. It takes about fifteen minutes of tickling, poking, calling and more besides from Balasaar and both Silents. But one giant does eventually stir slowly, look at Balassar, and say, in giant, "Whuh?"
Ummmm, the giant thinks long and hard. Smelly elf. Not good to eat. Rotten. Then.... Dunno. He looks at your group, and the other giants, then back at you. Got any food? He starts to stand up.
The giant wanders round to his other sleeping fellow for another kick, equally without effect. He glances over at the dead former prisoner. Yeah, that's the smelly elf, he says, pointing. Then he walks back and sits down again, though he's got his eye on the horses and you hear his stomach rumbling.
Balassar just relays the information to his companions “Think we should let them get on their way before someone else sees them and tries to hurt them.”
He just looks at the giants “Sorry for everything you went through. We killed this elf, but be careful someone else may try using you all to hurt people again. Do you know of any other areas where giants just disappear or have gone through anything like you all have?”
(OOC: Silent has a waterskin... or maybe he could rig something up with his bedroll. Can't imagine he'll be able to get all of the ashes himself, though)

Balassar just stands up and walks over looking at the giant "Hey, wake up." he says a good distance away "We have some questions."

Balassar just looks at the giant that spoke and replies in giant "What's the last thing you remember?"

Balassar just shakes his head "Nothing that would fill you up. Do you know how to get home?"
He switches to common for a second "They were taken by the elf, don't remember much just that he was rotting."
The giant looks around. Yeah, he says. He goes over and kicks one of his fellows, gently for a giant, though it has no effect. Wait here first.
Balassar just nods and turns to Alton and Silent "Do you all have any questions for them? Cause if not I think we are good to go."

Ask ‘em if they’re still gonna be eating people they find on the road. And if they say yes… I dunno, maybe we convince ‘em not to?
Alton thinks for a few moments, "Ask if there was anyone else with the elf and if they know what the elf wanted."
Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
(Assuming you do so):
For Silent, the giant shrugs. Not on smallfolk road. Too many sharp pins. Better food in mountains.
For Alton, the giant says he doesn't remember anyone else being with the smelly elf.
Balassar just relays the information to his companions “Think we should let them get on their way before someone else sees them and tries to hurt them.”

Balassar, the giant shakes his head, but seems to have exhausted his conversation for the day.
What would you like to do next?
Guess we're headin' back to Bladegarden empty-handed, lads. Hopefully they trust that we got the job done.
Alton gives Silent a pat on his leg, "I'm sure they will."

Please confirm if you're heading out, and if so, which way and what you're bringing with you. :)
(OOC: Are there are any remains of the wizard? I dunno why but I assumed he had vaporized)
Silent is ready to head back to Bladegarden taking the most direct route possible.
(OOC: It's ash. Do you have a bag?)
Okay, if everyone is on board, give me some perception checks for the road trip back. It will take the rest of the day, and the whole of the next day.

One Perception check each, please.
And an Animal Handling check from anyone attempting to train Ghost.
