"Someone had a lovely morning," Salithee sucks some air through her teeth, turning to the party, "The other jobs might be gone before we get the chance to take them. What are we thinking? The murder case still sounds the most interesting to me."
Alton looks at the three jobs, “It looks like bounty hunting for a murderer job is the one that will pay the most. Though, I’m fine with taking any of them.” He hands the papers off to Salithee and Celica to look at.

The Herald of the Hall returns after exactly five minutes, and looks no less pleased to see you or anyone else today. "In," he says curtly, not exactly rudely, not quite, but like someone who has a lot of important things to get to.
Inside (assuming you follow him in!), he stands behind a large desk. "Did you decide?"
Salithee follows after, finding the Herald's rush amusing, "Not entirely, though we are kind of between two," she almost drags her words out, "Probably this one," she sets the murder case pamphlet on the desk and taps it with her finger, turning to the duo of the Irregulars and the half-elven woman, raising her eyebrow for their approval.
"Well, I'm in agreement. Let's do the murder case! Sounds dramatic - plus it pays well," Celica says with her hands on her hips. "Let's bring that fella in and make sure some justice gets served!"
"Good", the Herald replies. And he holds out his hand for the other two papers. "I'll keep those if you don't mind. The way things are at the moment, there's a good chance they'll still be here when you come back. I don't have much information for you about the job. Lord Teratt is the one you need to speak to. He's over in the Tri-Spires. I'll give you a writ that will get you in to talk to him, in case any of the Crownsguard have questions. And you'll need it in Feltyr, but Lord Terratt can tell you more about that. This much I can tell you; it's four hundred gold just for going and investigating, and three thousand if you find the guilty party - to Lord Teratt's satisfaction. But if he doesn't think you're up to the job he'll withdraw the writ before you go - he has that right - and you get nothing. So I'd make sure to present myself well, if I were you."
The Herald fills out a piece of paper about half way and looks up. "What are your names?" he asks.
Alton gives a polite nod, "I'm Alton." Then smiles and give Balassar a nudge with his elbow, "I'm sure we'll be fine. This won't be our first time tracking down a wanted criminal."

"Sally... and Alton..." he says the names as he writes, then looks again at Salithee: "It's entirely up to you, but armour would seem appropriate, yes. You want to project competence, not wealth." He then looks at Celica and Balassar expectantly.
The Herald raises an eye at the name 'Silverstone', as though he recognises it, but does not comment on it. He writes down Balassar and Celica's names, and hands you the completed writ.
The document has your names, a description of the job, and an instruction specifically to allow you to get to Lord Teratt's home and to reasonable co-operation from the citizens of the town of Feltyr. The word 'reasonable' is underlined twice.
"Thank you, and good hunting to you," the Herald replies, seemingly keen to see the back of you.
"To you too," Sally giggles, grabbing the document and folding it neatly so that it fits in her hand. She walks outside, waiting for her companions to join her, "So, drinks or straight to our patron?"
"Well, pre-gaming our meetup with the patron may not be the best idea. However... it does sound like fun!" Celica chuckles, then sighs."Ah, but maybe we should leave a good first impression and then go and get some drinks..."
"I suppose we can celebrate getting the job by getting a little hammered. Let's go see what this noble is about," Sally leaves the hall and leads the way towards the Tri-Spires
You walk toward the Tri-Spires, and the three great towers (one recently repaired) are ahead of you, reaching impressively upwards, or looming over you depending on how you look at it. Head through the rest of the Innerstead Sprawl, not too far from Balassar's home near the Pentamarket though your path does not take you there at the moment. The streets are busy - no more or no less than at more peaceful times, but you would never mistake it - there are more guards about than usual, and people stop to chat and relax less, in this time of war. The city is not quiet though, and as you reach the impressive gate that leads into the Tri-Spires district itself, you can see that there is a queue - some folk are waiting, being checked and questioned; others are being waved through. The ones passing easily tend to be more obviously well dressed, but this is not always the case - some affluent merchants are complaining at being made to wait, and some poorer folk - perhaps servants or government workers in drab clothes - go through without issue.
Sally, as you are taking the lead, you have the choice to wait in line or attempt to walk past. If the latter, give me a straight Charisma check please.

Balassar just shrugs “Might as well go with the highest paying one. Noodlearms can wait to relearn a lesson.”

Alton gives a polite nod, "I'm Alton." Then smiles and give Balassar a nudge with his elbow, "I'm sure we'll be fine. This won't be our first time tracking down a wanted criminal."

“Balassar Silverstone” Balassar says looking at the person asking for his name.
"Celica Maloraen! That's C-e-l-i-c-a M-a-l-o-r-a-e-n. At your service!"
