Keyo, you are able to kill the sahuagin who was in combat with you, and the final dart finishes off another if you wish.
Boerth, Three Earrings' second in command, walks up to you. A strange foe. I've never seen the life before. I expect you will face others like it, before the day is through. Now, tell me: Are you prepared to follow the beasts below now, or will you need to rest before diving down?
The party gathers on the deck and takes a short rest. You can use hit dice to recover HP, and other features that restore on a short rest - not spells, unless you are using arcane recovery or another special feature.
As the hour comes to an end, Three Earrings comes to you. I regret that with only four of these devices, she nods towards your helmets, none of my crew will be able to join you in dealing with what lies below. But we will wait here, and be ready when you are finished. The devices provide breath for an hour, is that correct?
Most useful indeed, says the captain, a little taken aback. Well then, would you like to invite one of us to join you? I should warn you, whoever travels with you will get their share of your fee, given the danger involved. I could not ask them to undertake such an adventure for a standard crew share, you do understand me, yes?
(Your fee is 500 gold, split four ways for 125 each. If a crewman comes with you, it will be split five ways, for 100 gold each.)
Silent looks between his companions and the captain. I don't mind taking a pay cut, myself. You have any recommendations Captain? Or heck, why don't you take a dive with us?
I, my dear? Three Earrings purrs with amusement. I think not. Boerth is a competent fighter, or perhaps Dajarkal if you need healing. She gestures as she speaks, to the male human you have spoken to before, and the female half-orc you have seen as part of the crew but not really interacted with.
Either will go, I think - though you should ask, for the sake of formalities.
Keyo nods in agreement. "It is a splendid idea, we would be happy to have you join us." He then turns to Pockets. "You continue to impress me Pockets. I feel there is much I could learn from your expertise. Perhaps when this is all over we can discuss some arcane theories and the like?"
I suppose, says the half-orc reluctantly, looking with irritation at Silent. Just don't expect me to be much use in the battle. I'm not getting myself killed so that you can take my share.
Well then, Three Earrings says warmly and sarcastically, time for our merry band of adventurers to set out. May the Gods look kindly on your endeavours, and don't forget to pick up the artifact, will you my dears?
You line up on one side of the ship; Arael, Keyo, Silent and Dajarkal don their Breathing Bubbles, and Pockets his Cap of Water Breathing. And you dive down, in to the ocean, down, down, to what lies below. The water is bright, as the sunlight from above reaches deep down into the clear ocean, into the trench and illuminates below you the ruins of Palma Flora. What remains of the sunken island is wedged precariously in the undersea trench. The skeletal frames of its houses still stand, and a few gruesome remains of villagers are floating where they have become caught in seaweed or trapped under fallen rubble; most have be carried away by the current, you imagine.
You see figures standing in a group in the very centre of the ruined village, occasionally moving, as you approach from above. Sahuagin, and others. You move to the side, trying to avoid detection. And then you get closer.
Five sahuagin flanked by several of the shark-like abominations you fought earlier kneel within the ruins before a sahuagin wearing a magnificent headdress. This figure is chanting something in an unknown language and holds aloft a gleaming scepter tipped with a glowing amber eye.
You can make a Perception check to see what she is doing if you wish. Otherwise, you are nearby and can approach however you like.

Silent looks around at the others. Wouldn't mind taking an hour or so to catch my breath - took a few hits in that scrap. You guys doing alright?
A quick breather I think before we go diving headfirst into danger.
Keyo nods to Silent. "I too would not mind a brief respite to gather my thoughts."

Hit Dice: 4
Hit Dice - 5
Captain, we actually have 5. I built my own. As far as I know, these are limited to an hour, yes.
Pockets has a cap of water breathing as one of his infusions.

(OOC: Worth it if we can get a dedicated healer to come with out IMO)
(OOC: Cat lady captain could come swimming. That'd be fun. She has a heavy crossbow.)
Silent looks between his companions and the captain. I don't mind taking a pay cut, myself. You have any recommendations Captain? Or heck, why don't you take a dive with us?

(OOC: I vote for Djarkal; none of us are primarily healers and we burned some spell slots last battle and we have no potions.)
(OOC: Agreed, I think we can cover damage output pretty well, having someone with a spell like Healing Word could be really useful)
Silent nods at Djarkal. Would be glad to have a sister on board, if there's no objections.
Keyo nods in agreement. "It is a splendid idea, we would be happy to have you join us." He then turns to Pockets. "You continue to impress me Pockets. I feel there is much I could learn from your expertise. Perhaps when this is all over we can discuss some arcane theories and the like?"
OOC: Keyo uses Arcane Recovery
Uh, sure. I'd like that. Pockets hasn't really interacted with wizards before, let alone one interested in his ideas.
