Alton smiles, "That would be funny to see, or not see since you'd be invisible. Well, whatever we're going to do we should do it soon, your friend is walking off towards the place."

You are, or can easily get to, 60 feet to the west/left of the main gain without needing to make Stealth checks because there's enough shrubbery to conceal your movements. Any closer than that, you risk being seen. From exactly here, you can act freely and you have total cover.
Balassar just pulls out his crossbow and begins to rack a bolt in it, seeing the newcomer just walking towards the gate he hands the crossbow and his bolts to Kef "Move close enough to be 60 feet out. You'll know when and if you need to pull the trigger, snipe them until you're out of bolts, then carefully sneak up on them and begin attacking with your blade." he then looks to Swin and draws his shield and scimitar "Cast it on me, I can follow him and if something happens at least give some muscle to back up."
Once the spell is cast he will begin to move behind Darren.
You are already about sixty feet out, so Kef nods and stays where he is.
Darren moves forward.
Swin casts the spell, and Balassar disappears. You are near enough to hear the gentle thud of a large dragonborn following behind the human. Darren, you get to forty feet from the gate, when:
"Hold!". The voice from the top of the fence is loud, deep, and unfriendly. It's clear that Darren has been spotted. "What's your business here?"
…Somewhere nearby a pale-skinned prisoner cracks open one eye at a sound unusual for the daily rhythms of the brigands. Clad in bedraggled clothes and bound in chains, he nonetheless sits in a near-perfect lotus position.
Could this portend an opportunity for long-denied escape, or is it another false hope in a string of disappointments? The figure remains still, not a pale white hair on his head stirring as his eye shuts again, the better to fully concentrate on the sound…

“Begin’ ya pardon. But I seem to be a bit lost and with not much of an idea where I am. With it getting close to dark I saw this place and thought it might be a good place to spend the night.”
Darren pauses for a moment longer than he probably should giving Balassar time to get closer if he wants to.
“Is that a possibility?” Darren asks tentatively and with a hint of fear in his voice from having been addressed so gruffly.
Alton hangs back with Kef with his own hand crossbow at the ready, though he knows he'll have to get closer to have an effective shot. Small bits of magical energy spark between the fingers of his free hand and a smirk appears on his face as a spell comes to mind that might prove useful in this situation.

Swin puts her hand on Alton's shoulder for balance and her eyes revert back into Brodi's mind. She's keeping an eye on the action inside -- what are the people doing as they hear about someone outside? She gives a low monotone readout to Alton of what she sees and hears.
Swin, through Brodi's eyes you see the third guard, the one on patrol, jerk their head towards the gate and start to move quickly in that direction - not alarmed, not running, but with definite purpose. The two guards standing on their platforms are alert, eyes focused on Darren.
To Darren, the guard who spoke before says: "Piss off. This is private property. Come any closer and you'll get an arrow through the eye." It's unclear whether he believes you, but clear that you are not welcome.
Darren does his best to hide the disappointment in his voice as he replies, “Very well then. I meant no offense. Could you at least point me in the general direction of the nearest town?”
Balassar raises his hand "I mean it sounds fun...imagine our thing mixed with invisibility Alton." he says just giving a smile.

"Who wants to disappear?" Swin says, and she will cast invisibility on whoever wants it. She has no idea what'll happen.
How far is she from the front door? Just off the map, but how far? And I assume we are in some cover.

Balassar just takes the moment to slowly move around the man yelling at Darren and closer to entrance.
"South," the other guard replies. "Feltyr is less than a day's walk."
Balassar, give me a Stealth check, please. A straight roll - your noisy armour is cancelled out by the invisibility.

Balassar remains undetected, as far as anyone can tell.
At the end of the second guard saying where the nearest city is. Darren starts walking towards the two guards. Believing that direction to be South.
Balassar just keeps moving slowly waiting to see what happens.
