Three short swords that might be worth a regular amount (5gp each), and a light crossbow (12gp). Clothes - some dirty, some clean. No money at all - if these brigands get paid, they obviously keep their coins somewhere else.
Alton takes up a spot in the hallway, keeping aware for any danger. "You've done pretty well so far Kef. Seems like you have some skill with that crossbow."

Balassar just moves to keep himself watching the last door on the end in case anyone comes out as they search the other room. As Alton just talks to Kef, a smirk appears on Balassar's face "Of course, he's a soldier." he shouts over his shoulder, adding a respectful emphasis to the word 'soldier'.
Rhane, the door opens, revealing what seems to be an office; there's a single bed in one corner, but the room is dominated by a single large desk with many papers heaped upon the top in disorganised piles. There's an empty weapons rack along one wall; a large cabinet in another corner, and no occupants.
If you wish to study the papers on the desk, you can give me an Investigation check and also tell me how long you are willing to spend investigating these - it's a long job.
Darren, Balassar and Alton, you don't see any signs of anyone approaching. You do still have a confused, barely-present brigand standing, swaying slightly, in the corridor.
Picking up the papers, Rhane says, "These are probably important, but I don't think we want to spend the time right now digging through them--should we take them with us?"

“We could always pickup through them on our way out.” Darren proffers eyeing the still conscious brigand.
“Balassar, what did you do to this one? And do you think we should try and get some information from him before continuing?” Darren asks in a fairly neutral even tone.

There are stacks of papers. It would fill most of all your backpacks to take them with you, but you can do so if you wish.
A cursory glance reveals little or nothing. Several of the papers have what looks like accounts on them, but you only see a handful as you grab them so no way to know if they are representative of the whole.
The brigands remains in his trance-like state, awaiting your intervention in whatever form it takes.
Alton looks at the dazed brigand, "We can always do both." He pulls over a small crate or stool to sit on in front of the brigand, "I haven't dealt with someone like this before, so do we wake them up or can they answer questions like this?"

Swin casts detect magic and begins to sweep around, looking for any signs of anything odd. "Rhane, you got your stuff? Let me just look around a bit more. They ask you any questions when they were keeping you? Curious you got taken. I suppose we should tie this guy up and maybe bring him back to answer for the crimes of his friends here, right?"
”No, my stuff is probably held down the ladder where the leadership is. They haven’t asked me much, just kept me prisoner as a healer once they captured me—what has it been, 3 or 4 weeks ago?” replies Rhane.
He tries to recall anything else useful about the layout of the hideout or the defenses below (Intelligence roll of 9).

There is a way down, a ladder, behind the last door on this level that you haven't opened yet. On the floor below, you recall a long corridor; you administered sometimes to the wounded in one of the rooms that leads off its side. You think that there's a large room at the end of the long corridor where the leader of the brigands resides, but you were never taken there.
Darren looks at Alton, “What do you think of questioning this chap here before we continue? You seem to have a way with words. I figured you should do it, if we question him at all.” Darren gestures to the lone brigand who is clearly having a bad day and not fully aware of what’s going on around him.
Alton shrugs, "I don't mind, but they are usually more... awake when I talk to people." He snaps his fingers in front of the brigand a few times to pull his attention.

Darren keeps watch down the hallway while the nearer two rooms are searched.
Rhane:
Reporting what he has found, Thane goes to the next room and searches it, assuming the door opens easily…

Swin comes to herself and greets Rhane heartily, very happy to have him back. (Sorry for the delayed posting.)
She offers to take the papers for later review, doing a cursory glance for anything notable but shoving most of them into her bag. (Investigation: 11)
Balassar shrugs “Hit him really hard and then tied him up…figured we could either push him through that door down there first or ask questions.”

What are you going to do with the confused brigand?

No sign of anything magical. As to anything odd, nothing odd for a brigand lair for use.
