Balassar will stand up as well "Guess we will all meet at the Starosta's then. I'm headed to the smithy." he says leaving as he begins to look to see if anyone has a better quality scimitar, armor, and shield.
OOC: Balassar is looking for masterwork quality Scimitar and shield along with some splint mail.
Silent, you've been in the town long enough to know that there's nothing magical for sale here, not in such a small place. You do find a general store that can sell you Healer's Kits. It's possible that someone in town has such things to sell - you can make an Investigation check if you want to ask around and try to find someone.
Balassar, you head to the smithy in the Crownsguard's complex (you know Magnum spent some time there.) The quality is good, though not excellent, and they have scimitars and splint for sale, of regular quality. You don't find anything with any magical properties.
Let me know if you're buying anything, and deduct the money from your character sheets. Anything else to accomplish today?
Balassar looks at the smith and nods "How much for the splint?" he asks as he looks it over. After talking over the price he will purchase the armor and try to sell his to the smith before heading to back to the bar.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Trusting Alton and Wash's healing spells to render the purchase of a healer's kit moot, Silent will ask around about more potent tools like healing potions.
(OOC: Just reread Steve's post and realized the Investigation check was for finding Healer's Kits for sale, whoops... consider this redacted. Silent will just return to the tavern and reconvene with Alton and Wash)
Wash will ask Silent what he was looking for, and assuming he indicates that he was looking for healing items will say "Thanks for the reminder" and gives him a sack full of bandages, salves, and splints (a healer's kit and a sack) and asks him to wear it on his belt where it is easily accessible. He'll explain "I'm a trained field medic and I like to keep those I'm travelling with healthy and healed, but it is very hard to patch someone up mid fight when I have to search through their backpacks whilst also evading blows."
[MixoPhrygian : Wash has the Healer feat, so Healer's Kits are more useful than they would otherwise be. I've removed one from my inventory, so you can add one to yours. It has 10 uses/charges.
SteveThaiBinh: I'll need to go through my previous purchases, but it seems like I'll still have either 9 or 10 kits after giving one to Silent (one of which is down to 3 uses/charges left). If when I check it turns out that I have less than 10, can I have purchased healers kits here, and if so how many are available? Wash would also be keen to purchase some more sacks.]
A few minutes later, you have walked across town, entered into the Lawmaster's office once again, and are seated, your number now four, in front of the Lawmaster in his study.
Your friend Magnum has decided not to sign up; a regrettable, though understandable position. I would like to know your own intentions.
The Lawmaster looks at you all, and waits for your response.
We wouldn't have come back here if we didn't wanna take the money and the job. Easier to run away in the night.Silent cranes his neck, looking around the office for the Starosta. Where's the other fellow, anyway? Ain't he the one running this deal?
Whisperthin, you mean? The starosta is busy with other matters, I'm afraid. The lawmaster states everything in a very matter of fact way. The war takes all his resources, and much of mine. I will be looking after you during your period of service, which I hope will be a short one. I have a little more experience in this field. And perhaps, he seems a little more rueful, I have a little more skill in diplomacy. Please believe me that your services will benefit the citizens of Felderwin directly, and I will do my best to keep you out of the war directly, if that is your wish.
He hands you each a small metal badge - for Balassar, Wash and Alton the basic design is familiar, though these appear to be marked with symbols representing Felderwin Tillage. Keep these, and show them when questioned by people, including the Crownsguard. I will give you a letter for each job as well; you will be expected to produce both - in a time of war, people are nervous and may ask to see your credentials often. The badge and letter identify you as a member of an irregular militia acting under my authority, and the letter will specify the task you have been given. If you attempt to use the badge for any other purpose, it will not go well for you.
(Please add a Felderwin Irregulars Badge to your equipment.)
Silent takes a long look at the badge in his palm before pocketing it. What'll you have us doin' first, chief? And you mentioned a period of service... is that gonna be lasting so long as the war is on?
Wash also pockets his badge, smiles at Alton's comment and nods when the Lawmaster brings up diplomacy (and alludes to the Storasta's lack of it). "I appreciate you being more diplomatic. You have understood our wishes to not be part of the war, though I am very happy to be of help to the people of Felderwin and of the empire."

Investigation 5
(OOC: Just reread Steve's post and realized the Investigation check was for finding Healer's Kits for sale, whoops... consider this redacted. Silent will just return to the tavern and reconvene with Alton and Wash)
Alton will go and change out of his disguise and back into his normal attire; before just hanging out with Wash.
Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!

[MaxandDad: Thanks! Forgot that feat existed, nice pick.]
Wash, the shop has five healer's kits for sale. Feel free to buy as many as you want, and adjust your sheet accordingly.
Silent, you ask around and get a few strange looks, but no-one seems to know anything about magic potions.
Balassar, the splint armour costs 200 gold, and you can sell your current chain mail for 37 gold and 5 silver.
As the day ends, you meet up again at your inn. All done for the day?
Balassar will sell the armor and just thank the shop keeper before heading back to the inn.
Silent is done for the day and will head up to his quarters unless any of the others have anything they want to discuss.
You spend another evening in the inn, and wake having completed a long rest.
Alton gets with everyone before they head to the Lawmaster's house. "So, what is our plan? Are we taking the job?"
Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
I'm on board with taking it. Let's see what he wants us to do immediately and not commit anything more than necessary.

Alton takes the badge and looks it over. "If we keep getting these, I'll have to get a sash to pin them all to."

Balassar just takes it and stows it with the other badge "Appreciate it."
