This perhaps used to be a tower four storeys high, made of dark grey stone, circular in structure. The circle remains, but only two storeys remain at best, from what you can see from the outside. Where the third and fourth storey should be, there is perhaps a quarter of the structure remaining, and only the exterior wall - no floors or ceilings. The broken remnant reaches up into the sky and then just stops where a roof ought to be.
Approaching from the south, you see an old wooden door set into the side of the ground floor, still intact though not looking to be in great condition. It's now raining slightly, cold unpleasant rain, and the light is fading.
Silent looks to his companions. You reckon this might be a hidey-hole for more of them goblins? Maybe we should watch our step, check the door for traps before we head in?
Balassar, you see an empty, dusty interior, with multiple cobwebs and other signs that no-one has been here for a while. In one corner, there's a set of rickety stairs that head up to the room above, but you're not certain they would hold your weight. The only other features of this ground-floor room are a window that has been boarded up, two large empty crates, and a bedroll on the ground. It has a layer of dust on it suggesting it hasn't been used for weeks at least.
Alton peers in from behind Balassar and looks around. Seeing no threats inside, he will move inside of the structure and towards the stairs. "I wonder how the next level looks." Alton will test the stairs to see if they might hold his weight.

Alton, you step up to the top of the stairs; they do hold you, and you come into another room, this one with only half a room where the tower has crumbled away, though there isn't much rubble on the ground - it's mostly just dust, with a few crates and some broken pots on the ground. You see a bird's nest in the far corner, and the air seems chillier than downstairs.
Alton pipes up when he spots the ruin, "Should we see if that place would make for a good campsite?" He points out where the ruins are.

Balassar just nods “Sounds like a good idea.”
You approach the ruins.

Balassar just draws his shield and sword "Yeah, clear the place before setting up camp."
Alton nods, "Good point. I'll give it a look." He sneaks up to the door and looks around for any traps.

Alton, there’s no response from the tower to suggest an occupant. And you see nothing remarkable about the door, no traps or anything else.
Alton waves to the others, "It looks all clear."

Balassar nods as he just walks up to the door and opens it looking around as he enters with his shield up ready for something on the other side.

Silent will help set up camp on the ground floor if the others choose to enter and hunker down here for the night.

Alton, the stairs feel a little sturdier than they look. Make an Investigation check, as Silent gets to work setting up for the night.

You think they might hold your weight - can't be sure though. Do you go upstairs?
Alton will give going up the stairs a shot.

After looking around for a moment, Alton will head back down the stairs, "The upstairs is empty too, there is a bird's nest but that is it."

You return to the ground floor without incident.
Alton will help Silent set up the rest of the camp.
