Celica blinks in surprise at Alton's platinum pieces. "Wow... I think I like this guy, Sally, we gotta keep him around. You too, of course, Belassar! Let's get going, huh?"
Alton, one of the staff - not the one you dealt with before - comes over, checks the money, and takes it. Whether any change is owed is unclear, but certainly none is offered.
You leave the expensive, luxurious and perhaps slightly absurd Pillow Trove and return to the slightly less gaudy Tri-Spire, drawing occasional dismissive or curious glances. The streets are not so busy, but there's nothing in the immediate area that draws your attention or interest, and none of you are, I think, familiar with this part of town.
What would you like to do? And where are you headed?
Alton stretches stepping back out onto the street, “I think we should see about our cart, and getting an upgrade if it can’t hold all four of us; then supplies for the road. That way we don’t have to carry it around town, oh and get our stuff from your folk’s place, Balassar.”

You go to find your old cart, which I'm going to slightly retcon and say you already moved from the Song and Supper Tavern to a storage facility near Balassar's home, as the tavern wouldn't have wanted to keep it now you're now longer guests.
The cart remains as it was - ordinary, somewhat dirty, in good condition. Silent took his horse, so I believe you have one horse remaining, is that right?
There are shops in the city that can do upgrades for you, and Balassar might be able to do minor changes himself. Do you have anything in particular in mind?
For general supplies for the road, most items from the equipment list in the Player's Handbook are easily available, if you want to post a list of what you want and the price.
Balassar just nods at Alton as he speaks "I can take a look and see what I can do to make it better. We might need another horse though cause Nyx needs help pulling this cart."
Balassar will look for healing potions and rations for the road while they wonder.
"Okay, do we want to split up and grab the things we need then? Two of us can get any rations and other supplies for the road we need, and the other two can see about getting a horse."

Balassar just nods "Sounds good to me. Did you have any mind on how you want to split up? I can take someone to get the horse, if you want to get the rations."
Balassar looks at Sally and then Alton "Guess we will get the horses then." he says just turning and heading towards the nearest stable "There's a good stable this way."
Balassar just stops for a moment "Before I forget to ask you two, what's your favorite color?"
The storage facility is not quite a stable; it's a warehouse that Balassar's family occasionally uses and which is currently mostly empty, so the owner was willing to - temporarily - allow a horse to be 'stabled' there, as a favour to a regular client.
So you find Nyx. I'm afraid I don't recall what Nyx looks like, but perhaps Balassar or Alton do?
"Looks like we're on rations duty then, buddy!" Celica winks to Alton. "We'll get some good stuff for the road. My favorite color is periwinkle, by the by!"
With that, Celica takes Alton to go ration shopping. She would also like to acquire more bubblegum if there is any available.
Adventuring rations, or at least food that can be used for this purpose, is freely available. The Pentamarket has numerous street stalls and small corner shops that can easily oblige. Bubblegum is rarer, but I imagine Celica has a known preferred supplier by now, let's say a street vendor who sells precisely the type she likes. I think it would be five copper pieces for a small packet, and I don't know how many packets Celica would get through in a day.
Balassar, you can choose to spend a full day searching for a horse for sale. Assuming at least one of the others joins you, you can make an Investigation roll as a straight role, with their help cancelling out the disadvantage. Make the roll, and let me know what kind of things you're doing to search.
Rest of the party, you can describe how you help Balassar or what you do with your time otherwise... :)
Before the group separates, Alton chimes in, "Let's meet back up at the Silverstone smithy once we are done, or nightfall hits." He heads off with Celica, following behind her, "I wonder if we can find any maps in a city this big, that would be a big help finding our way around the countryside. Oh, and we should pick up a barrel of ale for the road too." Alton will cover for the cost of the rations, ale, and map if that can be found.

Sally uses her tiny expertise in knowing which horses run faster when spooked, the knowledge she has for no reason in particular, trying to find a correlation in her mind between a horse's appearance and its speed, then pointing her thoughts out to Balassar as they browse the stables.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Balassar begins to just look around looking at the muscles on the various horses and if there are any scars. If he has any remaining time he will also look for some tiny stones that resemble the colors that the two pointed out.

"She doesn't mean it like that," Sally says with absolutely no conviction in her voice, "Come on then, let's stock up and head out."

No healing potions. There's a war on, don't you know! Horses will be tough to find too.
Rations are easy to find, at the standard 5 silver per day's worth.

"Green, like this," Sally tugs on her viridian coat, pointing out the exact shade she finds the most pleasant

Balassar will lead the charge in trying to find a horse. That looks like it could match the power of Nyx.
