It takes a bit of time to shop, get cleaned up, and generally do everything you want to do in town. Let's say you all spend two silver pieces on a room and breakfast, and are ready to depart the following morning.
You head to the city gate, and onwards towards Zadash. With the war with Xhorhas still ongoing, there's less traffic on the roads than usual, though you do encounter the odd patrol.
You rest overnight on the road and arrive in Zadash in the middle of the afternoon. It's only been a few days really since Alton and Balassar last were here; for others in the group, you may never have been to this city before.
You could find an inn, or rest in Balassar's home, or head immediately to Lord Teratt, or something else. There's also the matter of the letter you need to deliver - I assume unopened?
Balassar will look at the group as they arrive "No need to spend money on rooms. We'll stay at my families house." he says with a huge smile "Should we deliever the letter and then let Lord Teratt know about the develops before grabbing some ale?"
You are shortly at one of the city gates. There is only a short queue, two merchants and two cloaked travellers. Up ahead you can see one uniformed crownsguard, and four apparent militia working under them, speaking to travellers and inspecting their goods.
Balassar just reaches intoning to pull out the letter “Any guard at the gate.” He saidnodding as he prepared to hand it off when their time came. Just waiting for the line to move.
The line moves, and you don't wait long. A member of the militia - sporting an official-looking badge but no uniform - approaches you and says with a bored voice "Name and reason for visit?"
Balassar just stares for a moment “Balassar Silverstone, here to visit family, see Lord Terat, and deliver this let from Captain Reema to one of you - she said you’d know what to do with it.”
The militiaman - a dwarf - scowls. "Do I look like a delivery service? I don't know any Captain Reema." He makes no move to let you pass, or to take the letter.
The dwarf takes it, and nods for you to continue through into the city.
You head through the city to Lord Teratt's home. One you reach his impressive estate, you are escorted inside; Lord Teratt stands by the fireplace in a large room you did not see previously, hands clasped behind his back, his face expectant. You are a very different group than the one that set out only days before, so his eyes fall upon Alton and Balassar as the two familiar faces he knows. "What have you to report?" he asks.
Alton rubs the back of his head, "Yeah, the others decided that this wasn't for them and went off on their own, and we found common ground with these guys." He gestures to Rhane, Darren, and Swin, introducing them. "They are Rhane, Darren and Swin; and are capable fighters. They helped us take down the group that Wainwright was leader off, and capture Wainwright himself." Alton will then go into the story of what happened.
"So now, he is in the custody of the Reema and the guard back in Feltyr."

"In custody. With the Crownsguard, I hope? That is good." Lord Teratt has listened intently to your story, maintaining his composure. "I will send people to Felty to verify this, to speak with the Crownsguard Reema, and if they confirm your story I will be happy to give you the reward promised. Happy indeed. I hope you will be staying in Zadash for a few days at least."
At the end his voice breaks, ever so slightly. "Tell me, did this man... did he say anything? About who he is, or why he murdered my son? Anything at all?"
Rhane adds, "He called himself Wainwright and he had a strange wheel tattoo and the ability to disguise himself. He led a group of bandits called the Shadowless, and he kept calling out to some unknown mistress during our combat. We turned over paperwork of the bandit's activities to the authorities already."

Where are you going?
Rhane:
”Well, let’s get to it. Lieutenant Rheema‘s message needs delivering,” says Rhane.
