Pell accepts your help. That was... a good fight. Would've been better if I'd won. But... still good. He laughs, grabs your arm and raises it above your head. Tin Man!! The crowd cheers.
In the next few minutes, the crowd begins to disperse after the winners collect their winnings. There's not many of them; Pell was the firm favourite, and Bors has done very well - he's absolutely beaming as several losers scowl at him on the way out.
Two good fights. Very good. Ol' Pell has been beaten before, and come back. How about you? You coming back then? There'll be another big fight night like this a month from now.
He also hands you your winnings: 20 gold for the two victories, and 41 gold for your share of the gambling.
Silent arrives just as the crowd is leaving; no-one stops you from entering and heading down, and you find Bors counting out the last of the gold as you reach the basement room.
Silent grins and reveals the lute hidden in the folds of his cloak. Maybe not as well as you, but well enough, Tin Man. He scratches the stubble on his chin. Blimey, maybe I shoulda given you a better nickname. You're Magnum the Supreme Destroyer of Worlds now.
Yeah...A mildly uneasy shadow passes across Silent's face.I've enjoyed our time here but at first light, we should get moving. Let's head back to our quarters.
Silent will nod briefly to Bors and start heading out of the Iron Chain.
Silent pulls out the lute again from his cloak. Seems like we both underrated ourselves - my performance went a hell of a lot better than I feared it might.
You got any plans for the coin? I mean, you don't eat and it seems like you're already sporting top-notch arms and armor. Magic tools, maybe?
With the rations I've bought, maybe we can try to head straight to Nicodranas without a stopover in Zoon.Silent packs away all of his things, securing his lute to the same baldric holding his greatsword on his back. And I still owe you a story, Magnum - once we're on the road away from other ears I'll be glad to tell it.
You walk through the early morning streets, the smell of baking bread coming from many windows, and once again it's a glorious warm sunny day. You leave Feolinn through the southern gate, and are headed towards Port Zoon, Nicodranas and the Wuyun Gorge. This road is busy, and you pass by a great many travellers headed to Feolinn; most keep to themselves, but a few like to stop and chat.
You also find some travellers headed in the same direction as you are also keen to walk alongside and share tales and news of the Menagerie Coast. How much do Silent and Magnum get into conversation, and how much do they keep apart?
Silent is mildly annoyed as he was hoping to speak with Magnum alone, but he'll engage the fellow travelers in a fair bit of conversation for at least an hour or two.
Been hearing tall tales of blue goblins and angry fishmen coming out of the sea to steal children. You folks think they're just tales? I've seen weirder in my day.
Blue goblins, indeed. Nope, not heard nothing about that. We're safe as anything on the road; look, there's another Zhelezo patrol right there. The merchant speeds up to avoid the strange pair and their talk of blue goblins.
You have plenty of time on the road to talk to each other without company; at the end of the first day, you reach the north side of a bridge across a river whose name you do not know. Several other groups are camped together, as it appears to be a common stopping point. You can join them, camp elsewhere, or keep going over the bridge for an hour or so before nightfall.

Oi - shit, did I miss everything? Did you win? His eyes widen at the sight of the coin.
I thank you for the offer, but I doubt I'll be back this way by then. I learned a lot here, and I hope your audience enjoyed the show.
Magnum accepts his winnings and collects this things. Silent, was your evening equally enjoyable?
Magnum is going to cast Cure Wounds on himself for 9 HP.
What should we do next? I need to rest, but in the morning continue on to Hupperdook?
Yeah... A mildly uneasy shadow passes across Silent's face. I've enjoyed our time here but at first light, we should get moving. Let's head back to our quarters.
Silent will nod briefly to Bors and start heading out of the Iron Chain.
Magnum leaves with Silent.
I admit I’m surprised that I won both fights. I was very fortunate. Now we have more money. Did you get that lute?

Indeed. There are items I can build which require expensive materials. Also, there are spell components I’d like to buy. Eventually.
You return to the tavern, and spend a peaceful night. You wake, having completed a long rest.
It's a new day, and you sit in the common room shortly after dawn.
What are you doing today?
Magnum has nothing left to do in town. Shall we continue on? Port Zoon or Nicodranus?
With the rations I've bought, maybe we can try to head straight to Nicodranas without a stopover in Zoon. And I still owe you a story, Magnum - once we're on the road away from other ears I'll be glad to tell it.
Whenever you're ready, then. Let's head out.
Silent follows Magnum out of the inn and onto the road.

Magnum will keep largely to himself while on the road. If addressed he'll respond, but he won't seek conversation from anyone other than Silent.
