A stone pedestal stands in the centre of the ring of standing stones next to the road. According to the elves, it holds the key to entering the sanctuary.

"You reckon that's the pedestal on which we pour the dragon blood?" Tanisar states. "I suppose if you guys are ready, we can begin the real investigation."
OOC: I'm traveling with my family until the middle of next week. If necessary to progress, feel free to make rolls on my behalf.
"I'm not comfortable dealing with blood magic of any kind," Bram says a little nervously. He holds his crossbow at the ready. "Someone else can do this ritual, I'll stand guard and watch." He stands to the side and inspects the pedestal, equal parts curious and apprehensive about what's going to happen next.
Quyst pours some of the silver blood into the pedestal.
The forest disappears in a pulse of blue light, and you find yourself standing in one of two magic circles inscribed on the floor of what appears to be a wizards’ laboratory or workshop. Quyst and Tafod are in one circle, Bram and Tanisar in the other. You see several large tables and desks littered with mildewed tomes, dusty bottles, and loose sheets of parchment. A wide staircase climbs 10 feet to a stone loft, atop which rests a wooden desk and a chair made of lashed bones. Several goblins have gathered in the room, and they stare at you with wide eyes. Near an iron- bound set of double doors stand two cages, each one holding a man-sized drake with crimson scales wearing a yoke. The drakes snarl and bare their fangs.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Quyst shoots an eldritch blast into the goblin nearest to the other cage, using Repelling Blast to ensure that, even if it survives, it'll be further from unlocking the drake
Attack 25; damage: 2
OOC: there something wrong with my rolls. I'll try it again, but if it doesn't work, can someone roll for me? it's a +7 on the attack and 1d10 for damage.
Bram shoots twice. The first shot kills the goblin near the cages, the second goes wide. Quyst pushes another goblin to the edge of the room. Tafod charges at one of the goblins, but at the last second the goblin shoves another goblin in front of it, saving its life at the cost of its companion's life. Four goblins remain.

Tanisar's magic puts three goblins to sleep. Their leader runs to one of the sleeping goblins and slaps it awake. "Get the drakes out!" The goblins scurries toward the drake cages, right past Tafod. If it gets past the dwarf, it unlocks the cage, freeing the drake, which runs to attack Tafod.

Tanisar whispers at the standing goblin, hoping to eliminate it before it can wake the others.
OOC: Dissonant whisper targeting the goblin's leader. Wis DC 15 or 12 psychic damage & reaction to run (save for half damage and no run).
You whisper a discordant melody that only one creature of your choice within range can hear, wracking it with terrible pain. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, it takes 3d6 psychic damage and must immediately use its reaction, if available, to move as far as its speed allows away from you. The creature doesn’t move into obviously dangerous ground, such as a fire or a pit. On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage and doesn’t have to move away. A deafened creature automatically succeeds on the save.
