(And we're back, a week and a half later)

Hasira walks back into the dining room with Aurora sitting on his shoulder.  He sits down with his food with the rest of the group.   He whispers, "So, Aurora and I looked around the only exits are the front and back doors.  I suppose we could go out a window, but I am not nimble enough to not cause a scene if we do.  If there is a half-elf in the back, I cannot put them to sleep, but we could make a cloud of fog which might could help one of us make a break for it if we need to, but it may also cause a scene.  Or I can get outside before you and cause an illusory scream that might draw a guard away.  What do you think?  Beornrun, you stand the most to lose if something goes poorly, so I'll lean on your judgement.  There's also a possibility that the guards outside may be completely coincidental."

A very disheveled looking dwarf walks through the door from the front lobby, looking around for a second before spotting the dragonborn and making his way over. "I lived so I'm here, just like I said I would be. Now, who's the rest of this group?"

"Ah yes, welcome, Thorin.  You've already met Wave (gestures at the Water Genasi), Aurora (points a thumb at Aurora on my shoulder), and myself.  This woman here is Vani, the gnome is Brocc, and this gentleman is the one we discussed before (Beornrun).  These are the people who are going to help escort the man to a safe place.  We can all get to know each other on the road, but unfortunately, we're a bit pressed for time.  Did you notice the gentleman outside?  We're going to need to get him (gestures at Beornrun) past that man and out of the city quickly."

Vani looks up when her name is mentioned but doesn't say anything. It's clear she's been doing a lot of crying.

Hasira reaches a hand toward Vani and then pulls it back, not knowing what to do.  He then looks back to Thorin.  "Could you and maybe Brocc distract the guard for us?  We would need a couple minutes to get past the door and out of sight.  I think we'll be fine once we get out of the city, but we need to do so without drawing attention to ourselves.  We've got a long road ahead of us."

Thorin looks at the crying Vani as well but has absolutely no idea what to do with that. He then looks back to the dragonborn. "Is there no back entrance that we could use? Once we're outside I can move us through the streets fairly quickly. I know this city quite well." He then looks over to Beornrun. "You, boar, I don't have your axe but I can offer you a sword or a hammer. Pick your poison." 

"It's seems both entrances are guarded," Vani says. "Though if we distract the man in the back it might be a bit easier to slip away..."

"Back entrances usually are. So, knock over the head, blindness, or just general distraction?" 

"I'd prefer to go in the reverse order of what you just said.  We need to not have the guard chasing us all the way to the Coast.  If a regular distraction does not work, blindness may.  I can obscure vision, but that may draw attention. We just need to get out of sight and around the corner.  After this, we still have to get out of the gate and either charter a ride or buy horses to get away.  I trust your judgement.  We have to be in your hands for right now."

Brocc recognized the dwarf as he came in, having seen him at the prison wagon earlier.  "Who is this person we are suppose to be escorting?" He asks, not sure exactly what was being asked of them here after all.  "Suppose you can fill me in on that later." he says as the discussion on how to get out of here gets going.  "I know this city as well, so can help get us out of here quickly too."  He adds.  "As far as distracting the guard goes, I can help, but what do you suggest we do?"

"It's Beornrun, and I purchased some weapons before coming here."  He opens his cloak showing a shortsword and mithral dagger. "There is no pig in me either....but the bear"

"While I prefer the great Axe,, these can be hidden.  I have disguised myself with a change of clothes and a shaven beard as well.  IF the Half Orc out front was looking for me he didn't make any sign.  However, he has been there all night and appears to be watching this place.   The one out back is new.  If they new I was wanted and new I was here why haven't they come for me already or called more help.   Maybe they are working for this other entity?"

Hasira looks troubled.  "We will be escorting this gentleman here (Beornrun).  There... are a lot of moving parts right now, and we're on a time limit.  We need to get out of the city.  I promise I will explain everything I can once we are on our way.  I would appreciate help with navigating this part of the city, because I've only ever passed through it, and never needfully quick."  Hasira pauses and ponders.   "What were you thinking to distract the guard naturally?  We need him or her to not think that anything strange had happened until we are long gone."

At Boernrun's suggestion, Hasira considers "It's possible they might be the entity's eyes, but I don't know."  Seeing Thorin's confusion, Hasira says , "Again, I promise to explain once we're on our way."

"We could leave one by one and head different directions?  If it is only the one up front he can't follow us all.."

"You know what, let's just go and deal with them as needed if it comes up."  Brocc says with a frustrated sigh.  "We can play the what-if gamed all day long and not get anywhere." He gets up.  "Let's just go." He nods to the door and moves towards it.  "You guys coming or not?"

"Hasira's right," Vani says. "We need to be cautious."
